The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Mississippi empowers students to explore their criminal justice interests from emphasis areas in corrections, homeland security or law enforcement

The Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program at the University of Mississippi fosters the knowledge and skills needed in today's health care environment. Our graduates are leaders in biomedical research companies, hospitals, government agencies, universities, Fortune 500 companies and every imaginable practice setting.

The study of classics includes every aspect of the ancient Mediterranean world, with exploration of ancient languages, literatures, history, art, and archaeology.

Classics majors gain a complex view of the ancient Mediterranean world and explore their own world as they do so. They address questions of human and historical significance through the works of the Greeks and Romans; understand the modern cultural world by recognizing its roots in the past; know their own language better by learning Greek or Latin; explore the world through study abroad; and strengthen their ability to read, communicate, observe, and think analytically.

The B.A. in classics is an interdisciplinary degree involving the study of ancient Greek and Latin, literature in translation, history, classical archaeology, and art history.

The Department of Modern Languages offers the M.A. in modern languages with emphases in French, German, linguistics, Spanish, and teaching English as a second language (TESOL).

Emphasis - Linguistics
tudents who specialize in linguistics will be exposed to a broad range of linguistic inquiry and will then be encouraged to develop a specific research agenda. With its strong emphasis on research and academic writing, this degree prepares students for doctoral study in general, theoretical, or applied linguistics.

The B.S. in chemical engineering provides the student with a fundamental knowledge of chemical engineering science and prepares graduates for a variety of careers in industry and government, or for advanced study in engineering, business, or professional school.

Chemical engineers bring together chemistry, mathematics, physics and engineering principles to discover solutions to real-world challenges in  pharmaceuticals, food, personal care products, petrochemicals and in many other industries

With a chemical engineering degree, you will be ready to pursue careers in manufacturing, petrochemicals, oil and gas, biotechnology, the environmental field and more. Your degree can also pave the way to top graduate programs in medicine, business, law and advanced engineering fields.

You can choose the standard track, the pre-med track or one of the following emphases:

• Biotechnology – this includes the study and use of biological processes to make advancements in fields as diverse as drugs, agriculture and food.
• Environmental – this will give you the foundation to work in environmental areas, such as waste and pollution reduction.
• Manufacturing – you’ll learn the skills to improve processes and productivity in advanced manufacturing environments.
• Materials – you’ll delve into the world of advanced materials – such as polymers and nanomaterials (no hyphen in nanomaterials) – that can handle extreme conditions.

The Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Recreation Administration degree program prepares students for leadership, direct service, and even supervisory roles in sport franchises, sport tourism, community recreation agencies, or college recreation departments.

The B.A.S.R.A. degree program is designed to develop skills preparatory to leadership and supervisory roles in a variety of sport and leisure service careers, including municipal, outdoor, therapeutic, military, church, youth, commercial/tourism, and industrial agencies and organizations.

The Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Recreation Administration program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions.

A degree in Management Information Systems at Ole Miss combines traditional business courses such as Marketing, Management, and Finance with the skills to design and implement key information technology systems.

Students who pursue the major in African American studies will get a broad-based understanding of research in a variety of academic disciplines, with a particular focus on African and African American topics. Students will be provided with historical and contemporary data that will enable them to develop a comprehensive understanding of the life experiences of African Americans.

The B.A. in art is a broad liberal arts degree for students who want a general education with a strong emphasis on art and a minor in another discipline.
