The objective of the M.Accy. is to provide students with greater breadth and depth in accounting education. The purpose of this program is to provide students with the knowledge and background necessary for entry into the profession and to enable them to continue to grow and develop within the profession.

The B.S. in chemical engineering provides the student with a fundamental knowledge of chemical engineering science and prepares graduates for a variety of careers in industry and government, or for advanced study in engineering, business, or professional school.

Chemical engineers bring together chemistry, mathematics, physics and engineering principles to discover solutions to real-world challenges in  pharmaceuticals, food, personal care products, petrochemicals and in many other industries

With a chemical engineering degree, you will be ready to pursue careers in manufacturing, petrochemicals, oil and gas, biotechnology, the environmental field and more. Your degree can also pave the way to top graduate programs in medicine, business, law and advanced engineering fields.

You can choose the standard track, the pre-med track or one of the following emphases:

• Biotechnology – this includes the study and use of biological processes to make advancements in fields as diverse as drugs, agriculture and food.
• Environmental – this will give you the foundation to work in environmental areas, such as waste and pollution reduction.
• Manufacturing – you’ll learn the skills to improve processes and productivity in advanced manufacturing environments.
• Materials – you’ll delve into the world of advanced materials – such as polymers and nanomaterials (no hyphen in nanomaterials) – that can handle extreme conditions.

The General Engineering program at University of Mississippi is heavily rooted in mathematics, science, and core engineering coursework, but offers a breadth and flexibility not offered by other programs in order to enable students to tailor a program of study to suit their interests and career goals.

Geological engineering students at the University of Mississippi combine a knowledge of earth processes with engineering skills to solve problems. Their work intersects with the fields of civil engineering, mining and energy, natural hazards, pollution, waste disposal, groundwater, and more.

Combine the knowledge of earth science with engineering principles to solve human problems

Geological engineers consider the engineering properties of natural soils and rock for building and protecting foundations, dams, levees and tunnels. They also work to reverse the environmental impacts of human activities in fields such as groundwater remediation and mine reclamation.

With a geological engineering degree, you can find a job in energy, mining, environmental consulting, government research and regulation. And, you’ll likely find yourself spending part of your workday outdoors – in swamps, mountains, forests, desert plains and out at sea.

Students who pursue the major in African American studies will get a broad-based understanding of research in a variety of academic disciplines, with a particular focus on African and African American topics. Students will be provided with historical and contemporary data that will enable them to develop a comprehensive understanding of the life experiences of African Americans.

A degree in Management Information Systems at Ole Miss combines traditional business courses such as Marketing, Management, and Finance with the skills to design and implement key information technology systems.

The M.S. in biological science prepares a student for various academic, industry, or government professional positions that involve freshwater biology, medicine, education, molecular genetics, ecology and conservation biology.

The Master of Taxation & Data Analytics program offers specialization in both taxation and data analytics. Students in this program are given many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and the latest relevant technologies. The program includes five accountancy and taxation courses, three data analytics courses, one taxation elective, and one accountancy elective.

The M.S. in engineering science is offered in a number of emphasis areas: aeroacoustics, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computational hydroscience, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electromagnetics, environmental engineering, geology, geological engineering, hydrology, mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, and telecommunications.

Emphasis - Electrical Engineering
An M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in electrical engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work.

Curricula of the School of Business Administration are designed both for those who plan to operate their own businesses and for those who plan to occupy responsible positions in business organizations. This unique program is designed to educate students as information system professionals. Students are provided with knowledge involving information systems technology, information concepts and processes, and organizational functions and management.

What Will You Learn?

Our students will learn to write the code and master the software that businesses need to succeed. You will delve into Visual Basic and C# using Visual Studio, in addition to UML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
