Undergraduate Academic Accelerator Pathway (2-Term) - Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Real Estate

In this major, you will be required to actively participate in productions (we plan up to six plays per semester). You will have access to outstanding facilities, including two on-campus venues featuring an arena stage (one of the few in the region) and a proscenium stage. Additionally, we offer a Black Box laboratory season to highlight undergraduate talent and have an additional Black Box space specifically designated for student projects and experimental works. Students will also have access to a full costume shop and scenic studio, one of the three largest university scenic shops in the country.

You will also benefit from an active guest artist program, which brings in professional directors, actors and designers from all over the world to work with students. In addition to specific training and skills learned in acting, design and technical areas, our students gain skills in collaboration, project management, creative problem-solving, communication and leadership. You will enjoy small classes for performance and design courses so that you can benefit from one-on-one training with faculty members. Outside of the classroom, you will also work directly with faculty members as a part of the training for main-stage and laboratory rehearsal and performance.

The studio art program offers two Bachelor degree options. As a studio art major, you will benefit from outstanding facilities and hands-on experience through internship and research opportunities.

    The B.A. in Studio Art is a general degree that allows students to explore many different mediums and, at 39 credit hours, is well suited for students who are interested in double majoring.

All B.F.A. undergraduate students will:

• Define and explain development of art, within their own and other cultures, from prehistory to the present.
• Critically analyze aspects of the design and art-making process and evaluate theories, philosophies and research in the practice of the studio arts.
• Through their artwork, demonstrate their competency of aesthetic literacy.
• Synthesize their learning from the curriculum into a final culminating experience within their chosen concentration.
• Have a solo exhibition of their creative research to be examined by the student’s major faculty.

Someone has to decide what those screens look like ... what they mean. Someone has to make them relevant. Someone needs to make them beautiful.

Whether you're interested in filmmaking, game design, animation, internet art, manga, mobile media or worlds beyond, a degree in media arts at South Carolina will prepare you to be a creator in tomorrow's media landscape. Our students are agile, independent artists who are driving the next wave in media culture. Our facilities and equipment are professional-level, and our curriculum is both practical and intellectually challenging. Our faculty members have screened their work on every continent (yes, even Antarctica), and our graduates are making names for themselves all over the world.

Mechanical engineering graduate students can take advantage of small class sizes, excellent teaching, on-campus and off-campus delivery mechanisms and high-quality funded research at UofSC.

The graduate program in mechanical engineering at UofSC provides graduate students with opportunities to acquire a broad foundation of mechanical engineering knowledge, an in-depth research experience at the frontiers of mechanical engineering and skills for life-long learning and professional development. The Master of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management (MSEM) is a 36-credit hour degree program designed to train students for management and leadership careers in sport, entertainment and venue industries.

The Department of Marketing at the Moore School is widely acclaimed for its scholarly expertise in various facets of consumer psychology, marketing strategy, research methods, behavioral pricing and marketing communications. It offers an undergraduate concentration in marketing as well as two Ph.D. concentrations — consumer behavior and marketing analysis.

The Department of Marketing offers an undergraduate marketing major focusing on the process of planning and executing the development, pricing, distributions and promotion of services, products and ideas. The marketing major also covers the study of economic, cultural, demographic and attitudinal factors that influence demand for products and services.

During your studies, you’ll build expertise in solid mechanics, materials processes, smart materials, manufacturing automation, concurrent engineering and other in-demand fields.

As a mathematics major, you will also develop widely sought-after skills, such as the ability to logically and critically evaluate situations including developing and implementing effective problem-solving strategies involving a wide range of ideas and data. You will enjoy relatively small classes with increased interaction with your professors.

We encourage you to take advantage of the Mathematics Library and the Hedberg Student Lounge, complete with a refrigerator, microwave, sink and chalkboard — perfect for studying in groups.

You will choose an area of emphasis from actuarial, education, applied or general. Additionally, the department’s list of Knowles Science Teaching Fellowships in Mathematics recipients is growing very rapidly. These national awards provide funding for the completion of the student’s education as well as the first few years of teaching.

In the real estate program through the nationally ranked Darla Moore School of Business, you can expect to learn the concepts, principles and methodologies used in real estate analysis and decision-making.

As a real estate major, you will focus on topics such as market analysis, real estate finance, property appraisal, investment analysis and portfolio management. You will learn about appraisal, development and purchasing of houses and other properties. You will benefit from continuously updated technology, award-winning faculty members, a team environment, field trips to leading industries and service-learning opportunities.
