As an international business major, you will develop leading-edge knowledge concerning the practice of global business.  

The department emphasizes the understanding of cross-border relationships — both within the same organization and across multiple organizations — comprising the modern multinational enterprise, as well as the institutional, financial, sociocultural and sociopolitical contexts surrounding the enterprise. International business majors have the opportunity to concentrate on business in Chinese enterprise, the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America or Central Europe.

As an international business major, you will benefit from challenging coursework, cutting-edge business knowledge and skills with a strong foundation in liberal arts and sciences. The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the University of South Carolina promotes an understanding of the experiences of women and other underrepresented groups through a complete program of teaching, research, and service to the University, the local community, the state, the nation and the global community. • Students will achieve an acceptable pass rate on questions related to the following core macroeconomic concepts: (a) Determination of full-employment output and growth (b) Money creation and inflation (c) Employment and output fluctuations over the business cycle (d) Fundamentals of macroeconomic policy
• Students will achieve be able to: (a) Solve basic equations to find equilibrium outcomes (b) Use graphs to understand and interpret economic relationships
• Students will be able to successfully prepare a research paper and present the results of their research their peers in a classroom environment.

Whether you want to explore issues facing the public officials who caucus in buildings just blocks from campus or master international relations, political science students receive broad exposure to the discipline while gaining an understanding about how politics, government and governance shape the world and its quality of citizenship.  

As a political science major, you will be selecting courses from fields such as American politics, comparative politics, international relations, public administration and policy, and political theory while also developing one or two individualized areas of interest.

You will learn how to research the answers to important questions related to politics, political values and public policy. You will benefit from a wide variety of course offerings and have the opportunity to complete a public service internship to gain hands-on experience.

U.S. News & World Report ranks the University of South Carolina's Chemical Engineering Program as one of the best in the country. The program also ranks 14th nationally in federally-funded chemical research and development, according to the National Science Foundation.

Aerospace engineering graduate degrees include the Master of Engineering (M.E.), which is perceived to be more practically oriented, and the Master of Science (M.S.), which is considered more scholarly or fundamental and includes a thesis.

Programs of study for both the M.S. and M.E. in Aerospace Engineering include coursework in five core areas:

• Aeroelasticity
• Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics
• Aerospace Structures
• Composite Materials
• Finite Element Analysis

Additional electives allow students to concentrate their studies in the mechanics, materials, and flight aspects of aerospace engineering.

Our master's degrees in electrical engineering prepare students for specialized and supervisory positions in a variety of work environments, and our doctoral degree prepares students for academia and high-level research and development jobs. All of our graduate programs cultivate the next generation of leaders in academia and industry.

The environmental sciences major was launched in fall 2009 as part of the environment and sustainability program. It is designed to give students a strong scientific background while allowing them the flexibility to choose courses that address their specific interests.
