This major focuses on the methods of developing financial protection against loss with emphasis on insurance principles, solving risk management problems and socioeconomic security programs.

As a chemistry major, you will be exposed to outstanding undergraduate research opportunities, which open a new world of career opportunities for students. As a public health major, you will develop the specialized knowledge and skills needed to address current and emerging public health issues. Emphasizing the interdisciplinary pursuit of comparative and/or international politics, the international studies program is designed to create the leaders of tomorrow. We allow students to tailor their programs of study to focus on such topics as foreign policy, global economic or environmental studies, or international conflict and cooperation.

As an international studies major, you will gain an understanding about how politics, government and governance shape the world and the quality of citizenship in the world. You will benefit from outstanding faculty members and challenging coursework that will help you develop critical learning skills, especially as related to the study of politics.

• All BFA Studio Art undergraduate students will define and explain development of art, within their own and other cultures, from pre-history to the present.
• All BFA Studio Art undergraduate students will critically analyze aspects of the design and art making process and evaluate theories, philosophies, and research in the practice of the studio arts.
• All BFA Studio Art undergraduate students will, through their artwork, demonstrate their competency of aesthetic literacy.

The goal of this one-year graduate program is to inspire entrepreneurial-minded science and engineering students to take leaderships roles in product design in large organizations and embark on new business ventures. The program includes an integrated curriculum, new venture creation projects, an innovation immersion module, and is taught by a blend of academic faculty and experienced entrepreneurs and investors from the private sector.

As a geography major, you will take courses in computer cartography, GIS and air photo interpretation/remote sensing. You will also have ample opportunities to study the Earth’s physical features and processes and how this physical environment is modified by human activities. Students may choose to take courses that include the real-world collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of geographic data to prepare you for careers in geography.

The bachelor's in music is designed for students who want to major in music while receiving a broad, liberal arts education. B.A. students will select a cognate (12 credits) or minor area (18 credits) outside the School of Music to prepare for a variety of careers that may be interdisciplinary in nature.

Students must satisfy all general education requirements as specified in the chosen degree. These requirements are designed to give students broad experience in liberal arts and sciences and opportunities to develop intellectual skills in analysis and evaluation, as well as competence in written and oral communication.
