As an economics major or minor, you will be taught how to conceptualize your own roles in society, whether acting as an individual, a member of a private-sector firm or as a public servant in the government sector. You will learn how to apply theoretical understanding and analytical skills to a wide variety of issues, problems and policies.

You will graduate ready to put those skills to use across a wide variety of industries working in business, finance, law or for governmental or non-profit agencies in nearly any field.

The Music History degree places musical trends, composers and individual musical works within historical, philosophical and social contexts. This combination both enlivens the understanding of musical works and broadens our values regarding what kinds of music we should listen to, compose, support or perform. Actuaries analyze data and assess risk. They are most often associated with the insurance industry, but actuaries work in many kinds of businesses. The profession is consistently one of the most secure and highest-paying available, even during tough economic times.

Pacific offers the only actuarial science program in northern California. In it, you have the opportunity to develop the skills expected of entry-level actuaries, equipping you with the tools to help companies and businesses better anticipate and manage risk.

The Master of Science in Engineering Science (MSES) program is designed to strengthen students' technical, analytical, and professional breadth and depth. All students receiving an MSES degree will complete a set of core courses that covers the broader subjects of research and analysis. Students are allowed admission to the MSES program after completing their bachelor's degree. Traditional MSES students may qualify for a graduate assistantship, which provides tuition and a living stipend.

The applied mathematics major is designed for students who are interested in applying their mathematics skills to problems in the real world, for example, in engineering. Our students graduate with a passion for mathematics and learning and are able to apply the problem-solving skills learned in the classroom to the world around them. Our mathematics program offers opportunities for you to refine your knowledge and use of mathematics content, communication and teamwork, mathematical reasoning and problem solving, and technology.
