The Music Performance major offers you an opportunity to study the fundamental principles of your chosen instrument through a broad range of pedagogical approaches that culminate in the holistic performance of a broad range of literature. Political science seeks to understand, to explain, and — sometimes — to evaluate how humans live and work together in public ways. To do so, political scientists focus on what happens in and around government and politics, how humans cooperate with and how they fight against one another, why some nations succeed and others fail.

Political scientists study voting and revolutions, the Supreme Court and the United Nations, the idea of justice and the nature of power, environmental policy, criminal law and gender politics - all in the pursuit of clearer knowledge about the characteristic ways humans interact in the public sphere.

The goal of the health, exercise and sport sciences program is to examine how movement-based physical activities, exercise and sport contribute to the quality of human life. We do this from a wide range of perspectives including biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology, business, education and philosophy to ensure that you are able to conceptualize and analyze health and human movement in a holistic manner.

Education in mathematics assists students in developing, to their fullest potential, their mathematical reasoning, communication and problem solving skills. Students who choose to major in mathematics are provided opportunities to develop strong problem solving skills that use quantitative methods and appropriate technology. They understand the strengths, limitations and wide applicability of mathematical modeling in a variety of disciplines. Students develop an appreciation for the discipline and esthetics of mathematics, effectiveness in problem solving, and an appropriate understanding of theory.

Music Management degree at University of the Pacific prepares students for a wide variety of music careers where knowledge and understanding of music performance, repertoire, styles and history are valuable assets. The organizational leadership degree completion program aims to help students develop a basic understanding of the theories of leadership  and how to best implement changes in order to guide successful organizations. Courses cover topics such as leadership development, project management, communication, public relations, conflict management and social psychology.

The new Master of Science in Computer Science degree program is built on a 96-year foundation of engineering and computer science at University of the Pacific. The one to two-year program, taught at the iconic ivy-covered campus in Stockton, California, teaches students advanced techniques and best practices of professional research and establishes the intellectual foundations for achieving excellence in the field of computer science. Graduates of the degree program will be prepared to create new technologies and enhance existing systems with a curriculum that dives into machine learning, data science, virtual reality, and more. The Master of Science in Engineering Science (MSES) program is designed to strengthen students' technical, analytical, and professional breadth and depth. All students receiving an MSES degree will complete a set of core courses that covers the broader subjects of research and analysis. Students are allowed admission to the MSES program after completing their bachelor's degree. Traditional MSES students may qualify for a graduate assistantship, which provides tuition and a living stipend.
