From jet engines to medical devices, mechanical engineers build products that support society.

The School of Engineering and Computer Science (SOECS) also offers a master’s degree in engineering science with a concentration in mechanical engineering. Through our blended program, students can begin graduate course work during their senior year at Pacific and complete their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years.

To do so, political scientists focus on what happens in and around government and politics, how humans cooperate with and how they fight against one another, why some nations succeed and others fail.

Political scientists study voting and revolutions, the Supreme Court and the United Nations, the idea of justice and the nature of power, environmental policy, criminal law and gender politics - all in the pursuit of clearer knowledge about the characteristic ways humans interact in the public sphere.

The goal of the health, exercise and sport sciences program is to examine how movement-based physical activities, exercise and sport contribute to the quality of human life. We do this from a wide range of perspectives including biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology, business, education and philosophy to ensure that you are able to conceptualize and analyze health and human movement in a holistic manner.

Music Industry Studies degree at University of the Pacific is the first collegiate program of its kind in the region. The Department of Biological Sciences' program of studies is flexible enough to enable you to pursue careers in molecular and cellular biology, botany, microbiology, physiology or zoology as graduate students. Some students pursue jobs in biotechnology, education, marketing and sales, among other fields. Programs in the department also prepare students for professional fields such as dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, medical technology, nursing or physical therapy.
