Public Law
Public law at the University at Albany has a national reputation for the quality of its program. You will study with faculty in areas related to law, legal actors, and legal systems. Learn about  national and subnational legal processes, the relationship between law and state development, the relationship of law and the legal system to public policy, interest groups, the media, and the political system in general. You will also have opportunities to examine doctrinal issues in constitutional and public law, as well as the relationship of private law to public policy in the United States and around the world.

UAlbany was the first university to offer an Africana Studies graduate degree and remains one of the few institutions in the nation with an MA program in the field. Sculpture introduces students to a wide range of technical procedures and provides the means for exploration in both experimental and traditional media. Spacious and well-equipped common work areas shared with the Graduate Students in the new Boor Sculpture Studio, dedicated in Fall, 2002, offer an inspirational environment for creative individual growth. The facilities, designed with extensive safety features, include an undergraduate studio, a complete foundry, a welding and metal fabrication shop, an outdoor work pad, a full wood shop, mold making room, state of the art digital imaging facilities, and experimental presentation space.

Public Economics and Finance

The Master of Public Health (MPH) provides you with a strong foundation in primary public health fields and advanced knowledge in your area of interest. Concentration options include biomedical sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social behavior and community health.

Accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, the two-year MPH program includes professional internships that let you directly contribute to the success of public programs that aim to eradicate disease, develop vaccines, reduce infant mortality, ensure food safety, monitor water quality, and more.

Social Behavior and Community Health
Explore the ways population health is affected by individuals, groups, and culture. Learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic public health interventions and design and improve community health programs to reduce the prevalence of risk behaviors and improve health service delivery.
