Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of the universe and all the bodies within it. It examines origins of the universe, stars and planets as well as how they move and evolve in space. Since scientists are rarely able to physically examine many objects in space, astronomy is mostly an observational science. Math, physics, chemistry and geology contribute to astronomy and help inform our understanding of the universe. Astronomy also relies on a variety of instruments, tools, and computer software for analysis and gathering data. Available courses include:

The German major enables students to become fluent in written and spoken German. German is spoken throughout all Europe. In addition, German is particularly useful if you plan to study theology, music, psychology, philosophy, history or any of the natural sciences. Available courses include:

Students work with the Theatre Arts production crews and can select a focus within the design categories, which can help them build their portfolio throughout their time at Baylor. Public Health program is a nationally accredited degree program. The program prepares students to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance quality of life for individuals and communities. Public Health educators work in a variety of work settings including nonprofit community health organizations, public health agencies, work site and health promotion programs and schools and voluntary health agencies (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc).  Available courses include:

Public health educators are employed under a variety of job titles. Some examples include a health educator, health promotion specialist, public or clinical health educator, health information specialist, program director, outreach coordinator, patient or treatment adherence educator, health program manager, community organizer and health intervention specialist.

Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) helps students build a strong engineering foundation by studying thermal/fluids, materials/mechanical systems and design. The Marketing major (designated as a pre-major) is a comprehensive study of promoting, pricing and placing a product. Marketing students can choose an emphasis in Sports, Strategy and Sales, Nonprofit and Social Enterprise Marketing or tailor their own marketing emphasis by selecting any three marketing courses beyond what is required.Available courses include:

A degree in Marketing qualifies graduates for many occupations like Sales and Customer Service, Product Management, and Marketing Research. Other students find work in Advertising, Sales Promotion, Event Marketing, and Purchasing.  The marketing department works with students to place them in internships to enhance students' resumes and provide experience in the market place.
