Communication Sciences and Disorders is a major that trains students in the processes of communication and speaking. This includes education in identifying and treating various disorders of communication and speech. Baylor's major in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) emphasizes speech-language pathology and offers comprehensive education in the fundamental principles of the field. Greek program is in the Classics Department. Students with a Greek major study texts taught in their original language, grammar and Greek culture. Coursework also includes the study of philosophy, religion and history as well as archaeology and art associated with the Greek language.  Available courses include:

• Classical Mythology
• Seminar in New Testament Greek

A Greek major is ideal for students wishing to pursue further studies in law or seminary.  Many of our graduates pursue teaching careers or graduate studies.

Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. Available courses include:

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (M.S.M.E.) program, The M.S.M.E. is 30 semester-hour graduate programs comprising 24 hours of graduate course work and a 6-hour research-oriented thesis. A non-thesis option is available, comprising 27 hours of coursework and 3 hours of MS Project.

The Choral Music major in the Bachelor of Music Education degree program is designed for students interested in teaching choral music or elementary general music in public schools. This degree leads to Texas teacher certification. Areas of study include:

The Economics major is offered in three different degree programs, as a Bachelor of Business Administration (designated as a pre-major), a Bachelor of Arts (BA), or a Bachelor of Science (BS). Each degree program is a slightly different variation of the core curriculum based on the degree requirement differences between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School. Choosing an Economics major in the Business School (BBA) provides the opportunity to take classes targeted toward four different career positions: consultant, public agency analyst, international economist or corporate business economist. Other possibilities for students graduating with an Economics degree include taking a position as a product risk analyst or risk and control advisor. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics is ideal for students wishing to attend graduate or law school while the Bachelor of Science in Economics is ideal for those wishing to work in the medical or scientific field.
