The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

Education - Secondary Life Science
The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) helps students build a strong engineering foundation by studying thermal/fluids, materials/mechanical systems and design. In addition to foundational mechanical engineering courses, students can further specialize by choosing electives that will improve their ability to apply fundamentals and to design machines and energy systems. The Elementary Education program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference through teaching young children and want to become change agents in education. The program prepares highly qualified teachers for work in diverse school settings in Early Childhood through Grade Six. Graduates of the Elementary program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) and prepare for the Elementary Generalist certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language or Gifted and Talented Education or Special Education.

The School of Education offers a unique experience for Teacher Education majors. Unlike other programs, Baylor's School of Education offers seven semesters of hands-on experience in the classroom. The program builds upon the classroom knowledge and the students are given increasing responsibility each semester. By the students' senior year, they are teaching full time during the fall and spring semesters. Several schools in Waco partner with the Baylor School of Education to provide field experience for Teacher Education majors.

Child and Family Studies
The Child and Family Studies (CFS) program at Baylor University focuses on the development of individuals and families as they grow and change. Students in this major study the dynamics of the life span (prenatal through late adulthood). This program offers four concentrations specializing in a content area, including:

The program is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers opportunities in hospitals, clinics, adoption agencies, youth ministries, family planning centers, social services, youth correctional facilities or as teachers. It also offers the opportunity to pursue certification as either a Child Life Specialist or a Certified Family Life Educator. No matter what career path is chosen, students will become professionals who practice critical thinking, self-reflection and scientific inquiry. We desire that they know and use ethical guidelines and professional standards related to our field.

Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of the universe and all the bodies within it. It examines origins of the universe, stars and planets as well as how they move and evolve in space. Since scientists are rarely able to physically examine many objects in space, astronomy is mostly an observational science. Math, physics, chemistry and geology contribute to astronomy and help inform our understanding of the universe. Astronomy also relies on a variety of instruments, tools, and computer software for analysis and gathering data. Available courses include:

Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies
The Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies major is for students preparing for the general career areas of health, fitness, recreation and sports, so it is well suited students unsure of which area they are most interested in pursuing. The program's popular feature is that general electives may also meet entrance requirements for professional schools. This is especially helpful in those instances where Baylor University does not have a pre-professional degree program in the field a student is interested in.  Course available include:
