Environmental Health Science
Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. Available courses include:

Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering major (designated as a pre-major) helps students build a strong engineering foundation by studying thermal/fluids, materials/mechanical systems and design. In addition to foundational mechanical engineering courses, students can further specialize by choosing electives that will improve their ability to apply fundamentals and to design machines and energy systems. Education - Spanish All Level
The All-Level Spanish Education program prepares students to teach Spanish in grades K through 12. Graduates of the All-Level Spanish Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in Spanish Education. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language. Students of All-Level Spanish Education do not have to be fluent in Spanish prior to starting the major.

Asian Studies
The Asian Studies program provides opportunities for study and research of the diverse societies that inhabit the Asian continent. The program takes as its geographical focus the regions of Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific. Interdisciplinary in approach, the program spans the fields of economics, foreign languages, history, political science, sociology and religion, and is dedicated to providing opportunities for foreign study and field experiences.

Through its major, minor and concentration curricula, the Asian Studies program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation to pursue careers in government services, business, and nongovernmental organizations, as well as for further graduate study.

International Business
International Business is a second major and must be combined with another business major.  The major applies the basics taught within the general business school, but in the framework of a global setting. Coursework prepares students for positions of leadership in a dynamic environment of global production, exchange, information and finance. Available courses include:

• Economic Development
• Global Trade Compliance
• Economic Systems of the World

Career opportunities are available for International Business majors in almost any field. Positions are most common in multinational markets, government agencies and business consulting firms, as well as energy industries and banking.

The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

Social Work
The Social Work program (designated as a pre-major) is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. At the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, students learn about human dignity and the need for justice. They also learn about caring as the foundation for effective change and service that transforms lives and communities. Social Work is a profession that prepares practitioners to empower individuals. It also prepares them to advocate for social justice in organizations and communities. Coursework combines a thorough liberal arts education with field experience with community professionals. The Classics major is a comprehensive study of ancient Greece and Rome. Consequently, students will have the opportunity to study culture, history and language of Latin and Greek. The Latin major, like the Greek major, is in the Classics Department. It is a rigorous study of the Classic Greek and Roman world. The Latin major focuses on original Latin texts and their cultural impact. Upon graduation, Latin majors are able to read and write in Latin.
