The International Year program is designed especially for international students. Chemistry
The Chemistry department is one of the select programs nationwide that offers a B.S. that is accredited by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and is authorized to offer the certified bachelor's degree in chemistry. The Chemistry Department offers four different Chemistry degree plans in order to provide curriculum to the widest possible range of student career goals. Available courses include:

The Chemistry department offers three different Bachelor of Science degrees and one Bachelor of Arts. Music Theory
The Theory major in the School of Music is for students who wish to concentrate their study on the theory of music. Students will conduct research under mentors, faculty members who are active in academic discourse on the national and international level.  Areas of study include:

The Communication Specialist major is a combination of studies in digital media and speech communication. This program of study blends a leadership/management/organizational communication focus with the development of expertise in digital media production. This major is appropriate for students with a wide array of career aspirations but is most appropriate for those intending to take advantage of communication expertise in a corporate career track. Courses available include:

Baylor's Bioinformatics undergraduate program was one of the first of its kind when it was created. The Bioinformatics major is a combination of computer science, life sciences, mathematics and statistics. The goal of the program is to produce students competent across multiple disciplines. Upon graduation, they should know enough computer science ot know what is computable and enough of life science to know what needs to be computed. Available courses include:

 Because of the broad-reaching nature of the program, students majoring in this area can expect any number of career opportunities after completing the degree, including database design, library science, data warehousing, forensics, anthropology and agriculture. Apparel Design and Product Development
The Apparel Design & Product Development curriculum develops students into professionals that will be successful in both the domestic and international marketplace. Fashion design is the development of apparel, textile and consumer products that meet the needs of specific consumer markets. Students develop an understanding of these needs through the study of consumer behavior, demographics and psychographics. Apparel Design courses are both creative and high technical. Courses include:

American Studies is the study of a variety of American subjects, including communications, history, literature, museum studies, political science and religion. This major prepares students for the world of practical affairs with a goal of exposing them to the intellectual and cultural development of the nation. Courses include:

The Physics major is the study of matter, energy, force and motion and the way in which they relate to one another. It provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance, industry and other professions. The Latin American Studies program is a combination of study and research on Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking countries including Central America, South America and Europe. Students will understand the political, cultural and historical issues of the Latin American culture. Available courses include:

• Traditional Music and Culture in Latin America
• The History of Gender in Latin America
• Pre-Columbian Civilizations
• Inter-American Relations

The Latin American Studies program promotes and encourages academic works in Latin America. It also encourages travel and exchange with institutions of higher learning in Latin America and Spain. Baylor currently offers study abroad programs to several countries in Latin America: Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Argentina.

Education - Elementary Education
The Elementary Education program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference through teaching young children and want to become change agents in education. The program prepares highly qualified teachers for work in diverse school settings in Early Childhood through Grade Six. Graduates of the Elementary program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) and prepare for the Elementary Generalist certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language or Gifted and Talented Education or Special Education.

Professional Writing and Rhetoric
