Theatre Arts
The Theatre Arts program provides classroom instruction and experience outside the classroom as well as holistic education of the theatre and allows room for focus in a variety of disciplines. The department produces about 8 full productions each year. The productions vary from Shakespeare to pop musicals. All productions are performed in full by theatre students. The majority of sets and scenery are also created by the students. This hands-on experience develops the participants’ skill and experience.

The Theatre Department also offers a summer study abroad program every other year. This programs gives students the opportunity to experience theatre in different cultures. Graduates can choose different routes after the completion of this degree. Some go to graduate school and others go to work in the entertainment industry.

Geology
Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. The Aviation Sciences major (Professional Pilot Concentration) is specifically designed for students wanting a career as a pilot (Airplane or Helicopter). Be aware that there are a limited number of flight slots for pilot students and so admission to the Professional Pilot Concentration is limited and competitive.

Exercise physiology is an applied science studying the body’s metabolic responses to acute and chronic physical activity. The program offers students a professional field experience and general division electives in the areas of strength and conditioning, nutrition, pre-PT, pre-Medical, business, and clinicals. Exercise Physiology prepares students for a number of career opportunities related to the wellness consciousness of the general population. Available courses include:

• Biomechanics

Students must complete one semester of a supervised internship. Students are assigned to a variety of positions including sports practices, games and surgeries. Positions also include general medical rotation and an off-campus rotation at a high school or sports medicine clinic. These assignments give the students an opportunity apply learned techniques in the field.
