Spanish
The Spanish language, a romance language, is now the second most prevalent language spoken globally. Baylor offers a Bachelor of Arts major as well as a minor in Spanish that gives students the opportunity to study the language, culture, literature and history of various Hispanic nations.  Available courses include:

Baylor's general Engineering program (designated as a pre-major) offers five concentrations: Biomedical, Humanitarian, Environmental, Geo/Petro or a custom path. Each concentration consists of six or more classes specifically chosen from around the university to prepare students for a career in engineering.

The engineering program, accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, builds on a common core of basic sciences and mathematics, humanities and social sciences, and engineering sciences developed primarily in the first two years of study. Computer Science
The department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in computer science. Students graduating with a BSCS in Computer Science are schooled in upper-level computer science topics with a solid foundation in mathematics and the sciences. Within the BSCS degree, students select a general computer science or software engineering track. The software engineering track emphasizes the methods used to produce and maintain high-quality software in a systematic, controlled and efficient manner. Students who are acquiring their BA in computer science acquire a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core computer science courses.

The Biochemistry major is designed to provide a firm foundation in biochemistry and prepare students for careers in health-related disciplines, medical research or biotechnology. A solid background in biochemistry is an important advantage for medical school and many Biochemistry majors declare a Pre-Health track.
