Environmental Health Science
Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. Apparel Design and Product Development
The Apparel Design & Product Development curriculum develops students into professionals that will be successful in both the domestic and international marketplace. Fashion design is the development of apparel, textile and consumer products that meet the needs of specific consumer markets. Students develop an understanding of these needs through the study of consumer behavior, demographics and psychographics. Apparel Design courses are both creative and high technical. The Instrumental Music major in the Bachelor of Music Education degree program is for students interested in teaching instrumental music in public schools. This degree leads to Texas teacher certification. Students are able to choose a string or wind/percussion concentration.  Areas of study include:

• Marching Band/Jazz Pedagogy
• String Methods

All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition.  Music faculty review auditions for acceptance into each music degree program.

Student teaching is a component of the Bachelor of Music Education degree.  Graduates have found teaching careers in public and private schools in Texas and throughout the country.

Great Texts of the Western Tradition
The Great Texts major is one of two undergraduate majors within the Baylor University Honors College, but it is not required that you be part of Honors to major in Great Texts. Since scientists are rarely able to physically examine many objects in space, astronomy is mostly an observational science. Math, physics, chemistry and geology contribute to astronomy and help inform our understanding of the universe.
