The Church Music program at Baylor University is designed for students desiring to take their passion for music and utilize it in a church setting. The Church Music major is available in the Bachelor of Music (BM) degree or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.
The Church Music major in the Bachelor of Music (BM) program at Baylor allows students to concentrate on one of three different emphases depending on their primary instrument: keyboard, instrumental or voice. The Bachelor of Arts program is designed in the liberal arts tradition and is a good fit for students who want a church music degree and who want to take additional courses outside of their major course of study.

It is the first year of study at Baylor University, where students study a combination of English language courses and credit-bearing academic courses. So they can earn credits towards their degree from the beginning.

Biology
The Biology major is ideal for students wanting to further their education in medicine, ecology, wildlife, genetics or a variety of other areas. The Biology major offers four concentrations: Integrative Biology, Global Health Biology, Science Education and Cell and Molecular Biology. Available courses include:

The Integrative Biology degree plan introduces students to the wholeness of biology through an integrative perspective. The Global Health degree plan is designed for students with an interest in tropical diseases, their etiology and their control, and offers a wide range of career paths. The Science Education degree plan prepares students to obtain a science education certification. The Cell and Molecular Biology degree plan provides a solid foundation in cellular function and genetic control of biological processes to support exploration of disease etiology.

Latin American Studies
The Latin American Studies program is a combination of study and research on Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking countries including Central America, South America and Europe. Students will understand the political, cultural and historical issues of the Latin American culture. Available courses include:

• The History of Gender in Latin America
• Pre-Columbian Civilizations
• Inter-American Relations

The Latin American Studies program promotes and encourages academic works in Latin America. It also encourages travel and exchange with institutions of higher learning in Latin America and Spain. Baylor currently offers study abroad programs to several countries in Latin America: Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Argentina.

The Master's International Year has been designed for students who don’t meet the entry requirements for direct admission to a Master’s engineering program at Baylor University.

What You Will Study
In the Master's International Program, you’ll study core courses in your Engineering program while developing your English language skills. Your first two semesters will be taught jointly by the University and the International Study Center, so you will be integrated into your Engineering program from the start. 

You’ll develop your engineering skills through coursework and practicum projects, which will vary depending on your interests and ambitions. Alongside engineering, you will be able to study complementary subjects such as business, mathematics, statistics and more – so you graduate ready to begin your career.

The International Year is the first year of study at Baylor University. We provide English language instruction, study skills, and personal support to help you meet the challenges of a Baylor education. In the Global Gateway Program, you’ll study a broad range of subjects that prepare you for success in your undergraduate degree.

Education - Middle Grade English, Language Arts, and Reading
The Middle Grades Education Program is ideal for students who are eager to work with growing minds and daily changes. When teaching middle grades students, who are discovering who they are and what they want to do with their lives, there is rarely a dull moment in the classroom. The program prepares highly qualified teachers that will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with a specific subject in 4-8 certification. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

Medical Humanities
The Medical Humanities program (designated as a pre-major) at Baylor is a unique major, and there are only a few of its kind across the country.  It is designed to provide a holistic education for students interested in working in the medical or healthcare field. The Medical Humanities program studies how humanities, social science and the arts relate to medical education and practice. Coursework is from a variety of departments including science, history, religion, philosophy, psychology and sociology.  Available courses include:

A major in Medical Humanities helps undergraduate students enter the field of healthcare in several different capacities.  It is a popular major for students in the premedicine, pre-dental and pre-law tracks as well as students pursuing nursing, social work and health education or healthcare administration. Graduates have worked in public health, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and counseling centers.

Environmental Health Science studies the relationship between the environment and human health. This includes preventing illness by identifying and assessing hazardous agents, environmental sources and limiting exposures to chemical, physical and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environments that may impact human health. Environmental health professionals work to ensure safe water, food, air quality and workplace conditions, mitigate the impact of disasters and investigate and help control disease outbreaks. Communication Sciences and Disorders is a major that trains students in the processes of communication and speaking. This includes education in identifying and treating various disorders of communication and speech. In this field, professionals seek to diagnose and treat a variety of disorders, improving communication while also improving quality of life. Baylor's major in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) emphasizes speech-language pathology and offers comprehensive education in the fundamental principles of the field.
