Communication Sciences and Disorders is a major that trains students in the processes of communication and speaking. This includes education in identifying and treating various disorders of communication and speech. Education - Special Education
The Special Education major prepares candidates to teach students to teach students with exceptional learning needs, from early childhood through 12th grade. Field experiences focus on students with varying levels of disability, ranging from mild to severe. The Special Education major offers two different undergraduate certificate options.

The first is an All-Level Special Education degree plan which prepares participants to only teach students with exceptional learning needs. These students range from early childhood through 12th grade.

The Special Education Supplemental plan prepares participants to teach general education to students ranging from early childhood through sixth grade. The second plan also prepares participants to teach students with exceptional learning needs. These students spend the majority of the school day in a general classroom.

Bioinformatics
Baylor's Bioinformatics undergraduate program was one of the first of its kind when it was created. The Bioinformatics major is a combination of computer science, life sciences, mathematics and statistics. The goal of the program is to produce students competent across multiple disciplines. Asian Studies
The Asian Studies program provides opportunities for study and research of the diverse societies that inhabit the Asian continent. The program takes as its geographical focus the regions of Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific. Greek program is in the Classics Department. Students with a Greek major study texts taught in their original language, grammar and Greek culture. Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies
The Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies major is for students preparing for the general career areas of health, fitness, recreation and sports, so it is well suited students unsure of which area they are most interested in pursuing. The program's popular feature is that general electives may also meet entrance requirements for professional schools.
