Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of the universe and all the bodies within it. It examines origins of the universe, stars and planets as well as how they move and evolve in space. Since scientists are rarely able to physically examine many objects in space, astronomy is mostly an observational science. Math, physics, chemistry and geology contribute to astronomy and help inform our understanding of the universe. Astronomy also relies on a variety of instruments, tools, and computer software for analysis and gathering data. Available courses include:

A very quantitative track in Geology is called Geophysics, and this degree combines the study of geology with math and physics. The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

All students desiring to pursue a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Arts in Music degree must audition before members of the appropriate applied music faculty for acceptance into a music degree program. Students may pursue either a BM or BA in Church Music.

The Apparel Design & Product Development curriculum develops students into professionals that will be successful in both the domestic and international marketplace. Fashion design is the development of apparel, textile and consumer products that meet the needs of specific consumer markets. Public Health program is a nationally accredited degree program. The program prepares students to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance quality of life for individuals and communities. Public Health educators work in a variety of work settings including nonprofit community health organizations, public health agencies, work site and health promotion programs and schools and voluntary health agencies (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc).  Available courses include:

Public health educators are employed under a variety of job titles. Some examples include a health educator, health promotion specialist, public or clinical health educator, health information specialist, program director, outreach coordinator, patient or treatment adherence educator, health program manager, community organizer and health intervention specialist.
