The Secondary Education program prepares you to teach 9th through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private high schools. You can graduate with a State of Illinois license to teach designated subject-area content (listed below). The program also provides you an opportunity to receive a Diploma Year Program Award (IB certification) to teach in International Baccalaureate schools world-wide.

As part of the secondary education major, you’ll learn educational theories and effective teaching practices, including how to design and implement curriculum; participate in extensive field experiences at multiple schools, and student-teach for 10 weeks.

For current and future business leaders whose roles involve information technology planning and strategy, the MBA in Management Information Systems (MIS) is the gateway to a career change or promotion.

If you’re business-minded and technically proficient, but don’t have previous coursework or experience with information systems—this program is for you. You’ll leave the Management Information Systems MBA program with the skills to analyze and define information systems requirements and evaluate emerging and innovative technology in various business situations.

The Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) prepares students to ideate, design, implement, and evaluate computer-based technologies so they are useful and usable for end users. This interdisciplinary degree integrates concepts and methods from computer science, graphic design and the social sciences. Drawing upon these concepts and methods, students learn user-centered and participatory design approaches as they create information and communication technologies (ICTs) such as dynamic web sites, mobile apps and desktop applications. Computational Methods
All required courses are available online. The Computational Methods concentration is designed for data science master’s students who want to develop strong technical and programming skills for big data analytics.
