DePaul’s degree in Business Administration is built upon a strong liberal arts foundation that allows you to learn from a broad business curriculum. You’re encouraged to select a variety of courses to build a wide range of expertise in areas that match your career goals.

The Business Administration degree program offers a variety of courses, giving you the opportunity to learn about fields such as entrepreneurship, management, economics and marketing.

Planning on launching your own start-up or taking over a family business? Consider taking entrepreneurship courses. Thinking about attending law school? Select business and professional ethics courses. Uncertain about your future career path? Take a range of courses across multiple business fields.

The Secondary Education program prepares you to teach 9th through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private high schools. You can graduate with a State of Illinois license to teach designated subject-area content (listed below). The program also provides you an opportunity to receive a Diploma Year Program Award (IB certification) to teach in International Baccalaureate schools world-wide.

As part of the secondary education major, you’ll learn educational theories and effective teaching practices, including how to design and implement curriculum; participate in extensive field experiences at multiple schools, and student-teach for 10 weeks.

Through our master’s in Business Analytics program, you’ll gain the necessary techniques to turn complex data into solutions that drive business decisions for a wide range of industries. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to specialize in growth industries and occupations including:

All courses for this program are offered in the evening on the Loop Campus. The program can be completed in two years.

As an Environmental Science major you will study a broad science-based curriculum that will expose you to multiple fields of scientific study, provide you with an understanding of environmental problems and solutions and prepare you for a technical career in environmental science. Environmental Science faculty members are active researchers in soil and wetland science, restoration ecology, geology, paleontology, and conservation biology, offering environmental science majors many opportunities to gain hands-on research experience.

DePaul’s close proximity to Lake Michigan, Chicago’s urban ecosystem, as well as the many environmental science conferences that are held in the city, will allow you to interact and work with professionals in the field and learn about important environmental issues.

Through DePaul’s Data Science program, you’ll develop a deep understanding of computer science, mathematics and information management — the three primary components of the data science profession.

As you work towards your B.S. in Data Science, program coursework will teach you:

• Mathematical foundations in data analysis
• Technical skills for data processing and application development
• Advanced machine learning and statistical modeling techniques
• Analytical and communication skills to explain results in a meaningful way

You’ll take a common core of courses in computer science, programming, mathematics and software during your first two years, after which you will select data science courses with a more narrow focus based on your interests.

DePaul’s master’s in International Public Service (IPS) is designed for students interested in the field of international development and global humanitarian affairs. You’ll gain the skills and expertise to manage, lead and evaluate international projects and organizations.

The MA in Animation degree provides a combination of artistic and technical training that prepares students for a future in 3D character animation, traditional animation, computer game art, or visual effects.

Technical Artist
The Technical Artist Concentration prepares students for a range of technical roles, from the complex jobs of riggers, next generation modelers and motion capture artists to the hybrid specialization of the Technical Artist. A game industry Technical Artist is an art department member who serves as a bridge between art and engineering. The TA needs to understand the language of both fields and act as a translator between the areas. In the film and television CGI animation and VFX industries the Technical Artist is more commonly referred to as a Technical Director or Technical Animator. The TA in these fields shares many of the core responsibilities (pipeline, troubleshooting) and animation technical skills as the game TA.

DePaul’s MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment will prepare you for leadership in the rapidly changing world of global real estate. Learn how to manage complex real estate transactions by understanding every aspect of the industry, including finance and real estate investing, taxation, development, investment sales and capital market analysis.

The master’s in Digital Communication and Media Arts (DCMA) will give you the technical skills and tools to effectively navigate the digital communication landscape. This flexible program allows you to tailor your coursework across interests such as branding, content strategy, social media, data-driven marketing, media literacy, documentary production and design.

This interdisciplinary degree program is offered through the College of Communication and the College of Computing and Digital Media; you’ll take courses in Public Relations and Advertising, Journalism, Media and Cinema Studies, and Digital Communication.

DePaul’s entrepreneurship degree program will provide you with the practical knowledge needed to turn business-building concepts into industry-changing realities.

Core components of the entrepreneurship program include understanding the new business venture process, recognizing ethical issues within entrepreneurial businesses and communicating effectively to business stakeholders. This rigorous curriculum will prepare you for many different career paths including starting and growing your own business, managing medium-sized enterprises, consulting and new product development.
