The World Language Education (WLE) program integrates education and language courses. Your foreign language education degree will prepare you to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private schools.

As part of this program, you will take language courses from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and education courses from the College of Education. You will earn a BA from the College of Education, and concentrations are offered in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

The Health Sciences major program will prepare you for a variety of healthcare professions by combining biomedical instruction with an understanding of how societal factors impact health. Whether you want to become a healthcare practitioner, administrator or policy-maker, you’ll learn how to solve health-related problems as part of a team.

As a Health Sciences major, you’ll choose one of two concentrations. The Bioscience concentration focuses on the scientific elements of an individual’s health, preparing you for a career in dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy or physical therapy. The Bioscience - Accelerated Program is for qualified Health Sciences majors in the BioScience concentration who have been accepted into an accelerated 3+ College of Science and Health pre-professional program in conjunction with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS). The Public Health Sciences concentration focuses on understanding the health care needs of populations, preparing you for a career in community health, health care administration, health communication and public health.

For supply chain industry professionals who are seeking management roles, DePaul’s Supply Chain Management master’s degree will provide you with the necessary leadership and technical skills.

In the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology programs, you’ll learn psychological theories and research methodologies, as well as gain an understanding of both scientific and applied psychology. As you work towards your bachelors’ degree in Psychology, you’ll design and conduct psychological research studies and learn how to read and analyze scientific data.

Your bachelors’ degree in Psychology coursework focuses on theories, experimental and statistical work, and laboratory and fieldwork, allowing you to gain hands-on research experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work with faculty members on research projects, as well as develop and conduct your own research projects through our independent study program.

Psychology (BA) program

The Psychology Department also offers two internship programs, placing you in human service organizations, community and industrial settings.

DePaul offers a combined bachelor’s + master’s degree program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a combined bachelor’s + master’s degree program in Psychology and Secondary Education Social Sciences. These programs allow you to complete a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in as few as five years.

DePaul’s MS in Applied Statistics not only emphasizes data-analytics skills, but explores how to tackle problems of statistical design, analysis and control. Learn about computation and technologies that play an important role in problem-solving across the job market, including research equipment and software used for data analysis, numerical analysis, simulations and mathematical modeling.

Data Science Concentration
The Data Science concentration is designed to provide students with computational techniques used by statistical researchers and practitioners beyond standard statistical software packages. Students are a rigorous training in mathematical statistics, applied statistics, statistical computing, and data structure. They are also exposed to various applications of current interest. The program prepares students to apply the latest statistical methods, data analytics, data mining, and machine learning to real-world data sets.

Psychological Science MA program is a highly competitive program that trains students in the theories and methodologies that define the core scientific pillars of psychology: social, developmental, cognitive and neuroscience.

With an emphasis on critical and integrative thinking, our students will understand the psychological foundations of human thought, emotions, motivation and behavior while conducting innovative research on diverse topics within psychology. You will have the opportunity to develop research and statistical skills both inside the laboratory and out in the world developing scientific solutions to real-world problems. Our program will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a career as a researcher, educator, and/or consultant in a variety of fields.

The Master of Science in Game Programming is designed for those interested in game development programming at the highest level, including real time computing, computer graphics, and professional retooling for the game industry. Students will learn about software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, animation, software architecture, and networking. The game programming degree addresses the real-world needs of industry through special, topic-based classes. Courses are taught with a mixture of theory and applied practice. Covering both emerging trends and proven knowledge, the program's content is always relevant and current. This combination of approaches allows students to understand the connection between realized applied systems and issues they'll likely face professionally in years to come.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry program will provide you with the fundamentals of chemical theory and practice through scientific investigation, laboratory experience and research opportunities.

As a chemistry major will have multiple opportunities to gain hands-on research experience working with chemistry faculty members conducting research projects funded through government, foundation and industry grants. Being in Chicago also allows those pursuing a BA or BS in Chemistry to attend many scientific conferences hosted in the city throughout the year.

In addition to a variety of combined degree programs, we offer a combined bachelor’s + master’s degree in Chemistry and Secondary Education Chemistry, allowing you to complete a bachelor’s and a graduate degree in as few as five years.

Study communication in the context of popular culture, the corporate world, interpersonal relationships and new media with a master’s degree in Communication and Media. Develop diverse areas of interest while focusing on a specific content area with an optional concentration in Interpersonal Communication, Media and Cinema Studies, Multicultural Communication or Organizational Communication. You’ll master the tools and frameworks to critically examine and resolve real-life communication issues.

Multicultural Communication
The Multicultural Communication concentration focuses on the dynamics of communication across cultures. It explores not only what happens when people of two different cultures meet, but also what happens when people from a variety of cultures and ethnicities come together in one organization, community or country.

This concentration will be of interest to those who work with international and multiethnic corporations and to public service personnel serving individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultural traditions.

The Biological Sciences MS is a versatile degree that’s ideal for those who plan to teach, research or pursue a PhD. Become a well-rounded biologist through a combination of lecture, laboratory and seminar courses. Work on cutting-edge research in labs alongside your peers and professors—and develop your own concentration of studies under the mentorship of your faculty advisor.

Students that are admitted to the MS program are hired as teaching assistants, and provided tuition waivers and stipends. External funding opportunities through programs like the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program?, Gem Fellowship? ?(underrepresente??d students in STEM),? or Fulbright Fellowship (international students) ?are also possible.?
