Our multidisciplinary program incorporates courses from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, the College of Science and Health, and the College of Communication.

As a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor Science (BS) in Biological Sciences major, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in a wide range of careers in science, research, education, health and other fields.

Inside and outside the classroom, you’ll learn to think independently and work collaboratively. Here, most faculty members direct their own research programs, giving you an opportunity to work on multiple research projects. Biological Sciences majors are encouraged to attend seminars and complete internships.

If you’re interested in pursuing a career in education, the Department of Biological Sciences also partners with the College of Education to award teaching degrees.

Using data to inform important business decisions and provide real-world solutions for companies of all sizes is critical to companies’ success. Through our Business Analytics MBA concentration, you’ll gain the necessary techniques to turn complex data into solutions for organizations in a wide range of industries.

The World Language Education (WLE) program integrates education and language courses. Your foreign language education degree will prepare you to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private schools.

As part of this program, you will take language courses from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and education courses from the College of Education. You will earn a BA from the College of Education, and concentrations are offered in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

The Chinese Studies program focuses on developing your ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and understand Chinese society and culture. As a Chinese Studies major, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in one of DePaul’s Study Abroad programs in Beijing, Hong Kong or Shanghai, where you’ll experience and immerse yourself in Chinese language and culture.

As a Journalism major at DePaul, you will develop a skill set that prepares you for a career as a multimedia content producer and video storyteller. Because the Journalism field is constantly evolving with the use of new technology, you will learn about industry trends and how to use professional equipment, software and online tools.

Students earning their degree in journalism at DePaul have access to the green screen studio, control room, editing suites and the digital equipment facility. Student journalists also staff our award-winning student media outlets: The DePaulia newspaper, 14 East Magazine, Radio DePaul and the Good Day DePaul news show.

The BA in Journalism degree program is offered at our Loop Campus in downtown Chicago, giving you access to many media outlets and opportunities to meet and work professionally with leading companies in the industry.

DePaul’s Neuroscience bachelor’s degree program is an interdisciplinary program that draws from the natural, behavioral and computational science fields.
