Our Management degree program will provide you with an overview of business operations, including techniques to strategically align the human, technology and financial assets of a firm. As a business management major, you’ll become prepared for a career in a variety of service-delivery, manufacturing, consulting, non-profit and digital business environments.

Choose from one of six concentrations — general management, entrepreneurship, human resources, leadership and change management, operations management, or sports management. The courses you take will be tailored to the concentration you choose.

Business management majors here will benefit from programs and networking events at DePaul’s Coleman Entrepreneurship Center and Center for Innovation, as well as DePaul’s presence in Chicago’s 1871 business incubator.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) program provides a collaborative, applied approach to public health education, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention to vulnerable populations. Gain the knowledge and practical skills to become an effective public health leader and solve problems to reduce health disparities.

Social Epidemiology
Use biostatistics and epidemiology to inform research, policy and intervention efforts aimed at eliminating health inequalities.

The Master of Science in Game Programming is designed for those interested in game development programming at the highest level, including real time computing, computer graphics, and professional retooling for the game industry. Students will learn about software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, animation, software architecture, and networking. The game programming degree addresses the real-world needs of industry through special, topic-based classes. Courses are taught with a mixture of theory and applied practice. Covering both emerging trends and proven knowledge, the program's content is always relevant and current. This combination of approaches allows students to understand the connection between realized applied systems and issues they'll likely face professionally in years to come.

The Chinese Studies program focuses on developing your ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and understand Chinese society and culture. Twenty percent of the global population speaks Chinese, making it the most-spoken language in the world. Having the ability to speak and understand Chinese will make you a marketable candidate in a variety of professional fields, such as business, consulting or politics.

As a Chinese Studies major, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in one of DePaul’s Study Abroad programs in Beijing, Hong Kong or Shanghai, where you’ll experience and immerse yourself in Chinese language and culture.

American Studies majors will examine the breadth and diversity of the American experience. American Studies is an interdisciplinary program that integrates the study of literature, history, geography, media, politics, popular culture, art and religion in order to critically analyze American society, culture, institutions and intellectual traditions.

As an American Studies major, you’ll be encouraged to question what constitutes American culture, and how cultural expressions reflect and reveal American values, beliefs, prejudices, pleasures and perceptions.

American Studies majors will gain competency in American cultural studies by mastering the theoretical and intellectual frameworks of their concentrations and by learning to interpret and analyze primary documents. Students in other interdisciplinary programs find American Studies a common double major or minor when combined with majors such as history, communication, anthropology, English, political science or sociology.

The World Language Education (WLE) program integrates education and language courses. Your foreign language education degree will prepare you to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private schools.

As part of this program, you will take language courses from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and education courses from the College of Education. You will earn a BA from the College of Education, and concentrations are offered in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

Earn your graduate accounting degree and complete the additional credits to qualify for the CPA exam with the master’s in Audit and Advisory Services. You’ll gain practical, advanced auditing skills to excel in a career in a public accounting firm or corporate internal audit department.

Biostatics Concentration
The Biostatistics concentration is designed to help students broaden their understanding of how statistics is applied to the biological and medical sciences. Students are introduced to various statistical tests and analysis programs, and through coursework and projects they explore and analyze data as it relates to real-life health issues. The Biostatistics concentration is appropriate for students who are interested in working for pharmaceutical companies, university research groups, and hospitals or health-related industries.

Develop skills to become a leader in the business of hospitality and tourism in DePaul’s MBA in Hospitality Leadership. You’ll study current customer industry trends, relationship management and service delivery, as well as marketing and hospitality strategies.
