Pretty deep language for something that absolutely rules daily life (like the fact we walk on the ground rather than float hither and yon). Investigate the principles of physics with a high regard for creation’s God-given wonder, complexity, and amazing power.

Physics teaching majors will receive core and specialized professional education in addition to the general education required of secondary and K-12 teacher education students.

The political science program is dedicated to producing wise leaders and responsible citizens. Politics is society in action as it makes choices and shapes priorities. Our students enjoy the chance to witness and participate in local and state government here in Nashville, Tennessee's state capital. The Washington Seminar allows them an inside look at our national policy process and on-site visits to places no tourist goes. Many students use their Global Learning semester abroad to travel and study internationally, which they integrate into our International Affairs major.

We have pledged ourselves to making politics and citizenship accessible to all Lipscomb students. The Great Ideas in Politics general education curriculum serves our students' need to know the ideas and habits of citizenship. Our 39-hour major allows students to finish in three years or to add the political science major to their primary field of study.

Computer technology is at the core of nearly every modern enterprise, so let us help you develop your knowledge. Our expert faculty specialize in different areas of computing and can help you broaden the skills you need to be valuable in any modern workplace.  We'll teach you to study, design, create, utilize, support and manage computer-based systems, software applications and computer hardware. This program is all about all things modern — embedded systems in automobiles, smart homes and even mobile and distributed systems. You’ll thrive in our small classes where your technical skills are sharpened and your creativity is magnified. If you choose the teaching route, you will be prepared in the areas of classroom management and intercultural competence along with literature, writing, cultural studies and communication core studies. A diverse set of local schools will welcome you in and provide you with hands-on learning opportunities.

The coursework in the English Teaching program is designed to provide you with foundational literary and educational concepts, practical field experience, and a broad understanding of textual genres, historical periods, composition/rhetoric, and the cultural significance of relevant writers and their texts. The program also allows you to learn from on-site teachers in a diverse range of public and private schools in the Nashville area. The specific content areas for literature include surveys of American, British, and world literatures as well as more narrowly focused seminars, which prepare you for the required content you will be teaching.
