We developed our applied biochemistry curriculum to give you exactly what you need to excel. Our dedicated faculty will prepare you for admission to competitive health-related professional schools — without advanced mathematics. Many of our applied biochemistry graduates are flourishing medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists or physician assistants. Others have found success in industry or graduate study within chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or microbiology.

The mission of the Exercise Science Program is to prepare entry-level Exercise Science professionals in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (behavior) learning domains by integrating Christian faith and practice with academic excellence.  The Program will provide students with the didactic and experiential foundation in the study of human physiology and movement necessary to succeed whether pursuing a career, a professional field of study or engaging in advanced academic work. This mission is achieved through classroom lectures and hands-on laboratory instruction, scholarship, and service-learning opportunities designed to promote and develop critical thinking and effective communication skills.

In our Financial Markets Lab, you'll learn to use Bloomberg Terminals to analyze financial data and metrics. You'll even have a keycard to access the lab at any time.

You'll have internship and study abroad opportunities. You'll be part of the Lipscomb team that competes against other universities in the TVA Investment Challenge. You and your team will manage a portfolio of securities on TVA's behalf. Each team competing will be responsible for security selection, portfolio balancing and other fund management decisions. American studies is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to examine the history, culture and society of America by combining courses taken in a variety of fields including history, political science and literature. Our restorative criminal justice major integrates the values of Christ with a deeper knowledge of crime and justice. Let us help you gain a hands-on understanding of restorative approaches to due process. You'll analyze social and psychological theories of crime and society with our expert faculty. You'll learn with incarcerated students in classes at the Tennessee Prison for Women as part of our nationally-recognized Lipscomb Initiative for Education (LIFE).

Let us teach you a holistic approach to achieving accountability and healing relationships. Within our restorative criminal justice major, you'll study criminal justice practices rather than law enforcement implementation. You'll plan ways to positively address harm caused by illegal actions. Restorative criminal justice holds that "crime" is a violation of human relationships. It believes that all stakeholders (offender, victims, and community) in the offense should have a voice in the process of making things as right as possible.

Restorative criminal justice does not reject punishment but does embrace a holistic approach to achieving accountability. This interdisciplinary major embraces the holistic approach.

After all, our world needs smart, innovative artists. We start with foundational instruction on all theatrical aspects that streamline into more specific courses each year. You'll take part in departmental productions and in the local Nashville theatre scene. Our professional faculty will connect you to outside opportunities. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Teaching is designed for students intending to pursue a career in teaching theatre at the elementary, middle school, or high school level. This degree also prepares students to pursue an advanced degree in education. At its core, the BA in Theatre Teaching provides well-rounded theatrical training mixed with superior education courses. In this degree, students take 45 hours in theatre-specific courses, including acting, directing, and design. They also take 30 hours in education courses designed to sharpen their pedagogy skills. Additionally, there are numerous mainstage opportunities in our five productions each year along with scene work, student films, and Nashville professional opportunities. All students complete student teaching at an area school before graduation.
