Master the ins and outs of the restaurant industry, from human resources to food production. Our seasoned faculty will develop both your strategic and creative skills and guide you as you explore your career options. Plus, our Christian worldview informs our approach to hospitality — learn how and why food systems management is a form of ministry.  

From this program, you can go on to culinary school, restaurant management and nonprofit management — with a firm foundation in business, since you’ll automatically earn a business minor. The coursework in the English Teaching program is designed to provide you with foundational literary and educational concepts, practical field experience, and a broad understanding of textual genres, historical periods, composition/rhetoric, and the cultural significance of relevant writers and their texts. The program also allows you to learn from on-site teachers in a diverse range of public and private schools in the Nashville area. The specific content areas for literature include surveys of American, British, and world literatures as well as more narrowly focused seminars, which prepare you for the required content you will be teaching.

Pretty deep language for something that absolutely rules daily life (like the fact we walk on the ground rather than float hither and yon). Investigate the principles of physics with a high regard for creation’s God-given wonder, complexity, and amazing power.

Physics teaching majors will receive core and specialized professional education in addition to the general education required of secondary and K-12 teacher education students.

The International Affairs major is the perfect way to maximize your semester abroad. Your 12 Global Learning credits will be applied to the major, fulfilling a core part of the coursework for this major. International Affairs integrates your language training, travels, and Lipscomb education. Further courses in political science and history will complement your experiences and broaden your knowledge base.
