The International Affairs major is the perfect way to maximize your semester abroad. Your 12 Global Learning credits will be applied to the major, fulfilling a core part of the coursework for this major. International Affairs integrates your language training, travels, and Lipscomb education. Further courses in political science and history will complement your experiences and broaden your knowledge base.

Professional Chemistry
Want to be a chemist ? This path is for you. You'll go beyond the basic principles of chemistry, learning the complex fields of organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry. Plus, you'll have special courses designed for research and intensive specialized and integrated labs.

Become the design visionary you were created to be. Hone your skills and talent by learning from respected creative professionals in the graphic design industry. We'll teach you theory, professionalism, and how to stay current with emerging technology — so you can inspire change.

There are no gimmicks or trends here.  We're following the time-honored, Socratic method of pursuing truth — and doing so in dialogue with the Christian intellectual tradition.

We approach the study of philosophy by reading the classics and by wrestling with ideas and reasons in civil debate with one another. What makes an action right as opposed to wrong?  What is knowledge, and can we have it?  Does anything at all make life meaningful?  How can an all-powerful and good God allow evil to occur?  What distinguishes cogent from fallacious reasoning, and how can we best analyze and assess arguments?  What is the nature of truth, beauty, goodness, and freedom?   

You'll study the work of the greatest minds in Western history. And you'll learn to identify and evaluate the fundamental assumptions that shape how we think about the world — and ourselves. Use the skills you develop in philosophy to pursue internships and job opportunities in a variety of fields, including government, politics, and history. Mathematics Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Sure, two plus two is four. But if you’re here, you’re probably interested in exploring what’s beyond math’s basics. And your options are endless: statistics, calculus, geometry, abstract algebra, topology, differential equations and many more! Dig deeper into the incredible body of knowledge that constitutes mathematics by earning your degree in the field.

Having trouble choosing just one degree? Apply your chemistry knowledge to high-level math courses, creating a unique concentration that will doubly serve you in your field of work.

Explore the complex and compelling relationships among languages, literature, and cultures. Engage in critical thinking and discussion with peers and faculty who will challenge your worldview, whether you’re debating gender theory or interpreting poetry.

If you choose the teaching route, you will be prepared in the areas of classroom management and intercultural competence along with literature, writing, cultural studies and communication core studies. Now more than ever, there is a need for professionals who are just, wherever they may be.  We know you want to change the world. So we've created a program to help you build a foundation in justice so you can do exactly that. We know legal change is one of the best ways to effect social change, so we'll make sure you gain a strong understanding of America's legal system. Work with a prominent civil rights attorney in Tuskegee, Alabama. You'll visit Washington, D.C. for an introduction of American law. Learn from real-life experiences with an internship. Take a semester abroad. And later, you'll even travel to five European countries as you learn about law in the global community.

They represent the areas of counseling, family therapy, clinical psychology, health psychology, neuroscience, child development and cognitive psychology.
