We are extremely devoted to preparing you for the challenges of creating theatre in the 21st Century.

The mission of our program is to provide students with the tools needed for preparation as theatre educators or professional practitioners, or for the continuation of their studies on the graduate level.

Within this program, you’ll design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data along with designing a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. You’ll also identify, formulate, solve engineering problems, and understand professional and ethical responsibility with an ability to communicate effectively. Music majors also participate in chamber ensembles including string quartet, various woodwind and brass ensembles, percussion ensemble, guitar ensemble, and more.

An accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the university offers three undergraduate music degrees to help you reach your career goals: the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Bachelor of Music leading to Teacher Certification, and the Bachelor of Music in Performance.

The Bachelor of Arts in Music has two tracks: Music Industry Emphasis and Music Studies Emphasis. Students can also choose a general Music Performance minor or a minor in Music Industry, which includes studies in recording technology and music business.

The Joint B.S. Physics degree is a Bachelor of Science degree with a Physics major, provided through the joint efforts of physics faculty both here at TAMUCC and at other schools in the Texas Physics Consortium (TPC).

Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of physics. You’ll be able to understand scientific methods and be able use them to develop and conduct studies of physical systems. You will also be able to communicate physical information effectively at the undergraduate level, whether the communication is in oral or written form, with or without the use of technology.
