The kinesiology major prepares you for a professional career in health science-related fields, including athletic training, exercise science, physical education, sports management, sports coaching, or strength/conditioning.

The Master's Program in Educational Administration is a leader in preparing PreK-20 school administrators throughout South Texas, nationwide, and internationally. This learner–centered program prepares graduates to meet the challenges of school leadership positions such as campus principal, campus assistant principal, and central office administration.

This program offers the master of science degree in Educational Administration and preparation for the Texas State certification exams for the principalship and superintendency.

The mission of the Master’s Program in Educational Administration is to prepare leaders for PK-20 administration at the regional, national, and international levels. This learner-centered program prepares graduates to meet the current demanding challenges of school leadership positions, including teacher leaders, department heads, campus assistant principal, campus principal, and central office administration.

The International Year is a 3-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. Your International Year program will be a combination of English for Academic Purposes courses to develop your English language skills, and route specific courses. Graphic Design

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will be demonstrate mastery of client-focused, visual communication and problem-solving methodologies. As apart of this degree you will also be proficient in professional skills and advanced critical thinking in analyzing discipline history, theory, criticism and practices.

The Master's in Special Education prepares educators for initial teaching certification and/or educational diagnostician certification. Members of this program gain advanced expertise in culturally and linguistically responsive special education services to students with both high-incidence and low-incidence disabilities. Theory and pedagogy from English learner education and special education are combined.

This program is to provide students with an eclectic program in special education that interfaces theory and pedagogy from both the special education and English learner education fields.

Criminal Justice
This program has two main objectives: to provide an advanced understanding of the criminal justice system and its components and to provide either a concentration of knowledge and application of skills in a specialized subfield of study or a broad exploration of the discipline-based on individual student needs through the selection of disciplinary electives.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will demonstrate an understanding of the operation and purposes of the major components of the criminal justice system (police, courts, and corrections). You’ll also demonstrate the ability to critically analyze the criminal justice system and its aims and objectives. The Biomedical Sciences Program offers a degree that prepares students for professional careers related to human or animal health and safety. This program is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences.

Art
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is designed to provide professional development at the undergraduate level in the visual arts, through in-depth study in studio art. The degree requires a minimum of 75 semester hours in art, at least 36 of which must be in upper-division coursework.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of visual art. You’ll also be preparing for specific careers along with theories and concepts, and will apply these theories and concepts in the senior exhibition.
