The International Year is a 1-semester program, equivalent to a year's study of a bachelor's degree. Environmental Science
The environmental science program at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is designed to serve environmental science majors, science majors from other fields interested in adding to their knowledge of the environment, and interested non-science majors.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll enjoy small specialty classes and diverse laboratory and field experiences. Environmental science facilities include biological, geological and map collections as well as a wide array of field and laboratory equipment, and computer labs for GIS and modeling studies. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi research centers and institutes on campus afford students access to modern laboratories where they may participate in environmental research.

Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies principles of engineering, basic science, and mathematics (including multivariate calculus and differential equations) for modeling, analysis, design, and realization of physical systems, components or processes.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. You’ll also be able to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. With this degree you can function effectively on a team developing and conducting appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

Biology
Hone your critical thinking skills and round out your education with unique research opportunities when you pursue a bachelor of science degree in biology. As part of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s School of Science and Engineering, you’ll benefit from small classes led by award-winning faculty and hands-on research. Our undergraduate biology degree has six tracks, fitting a wide variety of student interests and career goals.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of biology. You’ll also understand the scientific method and use it to develop and conduct biological experiments. The University Studies degree at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a flexible undergraduate program which allows students to design a course of study that best fits their educational and career goals rather than follow a specific track of coursework prescribed by a major degree. The University Studies degree can be completed as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS). With a University Studies degree, students will graduate with a breadth of knowledge in a range of academic disciplines, preparing them for the workforce, graduate school, or fulfilling their dreams of obtaining a degree.

Students will begin with an in-depth look at the five main components of solving a problem and practice the skills through a series of a structured exercises. During this process, students will discuss research, assessment of data, brainstorming and creative thinking, planning, time management, leadership and collaboration, effective communication, and evaluating results. Students will then apply the skills learned to their area of interest in a final project.

Electrical Engineers develop electrical systems using knowledge of physics, mathematics, circuit design, electromagnetic theory, communication theory, control systems and signal processing. Electrical engineering historically involved how the generation, transmission and utilization of electrical energy.

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) program emphasizes service, systems-based knowledge, and sustainability with an eye toward the interface of traditional electrical engineering with new and emerging fields, in particular unmanned aircraft systems, maritime sciences and marine biology that directly impact the Gulf Coast.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree prepares individuals for the responsibilities of management in a wide variety of business and non-business endeavors. Program length is approximately one year of full-time study for a student with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

The goal of the MBA program is to prepare individuals for the responsibilities of management in a wide variety of business and non-business endeavors. Optional concentrations are available, by taking additional hours, in Accounting, Finance, Health Care Administration, and International Business.

Atmospheric Science
The Bachelor of Science program in Atmospheric Sciences addresses the needs of students interested in studying meteorology or climate science. The program provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the physical characteristics, motions and processes of air; as well as the interactions of this protective layer with the underlying oceans and continents. The undergraduate program emphasizes a systems approach, combining traditional atmospheric sciences with emerging fields. In particular, the program focuses on the fields of tropical meteorology and oceanography that are directly linked to the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding coastal regions where the university is strategically located.

This program has two main objectives: to provide an advanced understanding of the criminal justice system and its components and to provide either a concentration of knowledge and application of skills in a specialized subfield of study or a broad exploration of the discipline based on individual student needs through the selection of disciplinary electives.

The criminal justice program leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and supports the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree with courses applicable to criminal justice, community and mental health, and legal studies tracks.
