History
History is a popular major, not just because it is a fascinating subject, but also because it encourages students to develop useful skills that will serve them in graduate and professional programs and in many occupations. Students of history find themselves in classes that are reading and writing intensive. They hone their thinking ability as they encounter diverse views of historical development to implement methods and theories used in analyzing and understanding the past.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will understand, evaluate, and creatively use large amounts of information and put these to fruition in reading, writing, and speaking effectively.  You will also make keen observations, solve problems, and make appropriate decisions. As apart of this degree, you will also know and understand the world in which you live and to concentrate for long periods of time.

Accounting
The accounting major is designed to provide entry-level knowledge, skills, and concepts for careers in accounting. Within this program, you’ll gain a broad understanding of accounting. You’ll also understand key accounting theories and concepts, and will apply these accounting theories and concepts correctly. As part of this degree, you’ll perfect your communication skills and be competent in business practices.

Biomedical Sciences
The Biomedical Sciences Program offers a degree that prepares students for professional careers related to human or animal health and safety. This program is a unique blend of course work and experiences that gives students a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll gain a broad conceptual framework while allowing them to focus on applied biomedical sciences, including Forensic Science.

The accounting major is designed to provide entry-level knowledge, skills, and concepts for careers in accounting.

Accounting careers are generally divided into four broad areas, corresponding to particular employment environments: management accounting, government accounting, accounting education, and public accounting.

The Mays Business School offers a graduate program leading to the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Enrollment in the Mays MBA Program and related courses is restricted to students in the classification G7 BUAD. A G6 student is not eligible to enroll in Mays MBA Program courses.

All core course enrollments are handled through the Mays MBA Program Office. Details regarding the Mays MBA Program curriculum may be obtained by contacting the MBA Program Office. The Mays MBA Program is a non-thesis degree for which a final oral examination is not required. Admission to the program is in the fall semester only. The Mays Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at all program levels.

Political science seeks to reveal the patterns of behavior associated with politics, to explain the functioning of political and governmental institutions, to appraise alternative public policies, and to assess the government's role in society.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you will gain critical thinking skills including, creative thinking, innovation, inquiry and analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information. You will also demonstrate communication skills including, the effective development, interpretation, and expression of ideas through written, oral, and visual communication. With this degree, you will gain empirical and quantitative skills, including the manipulation and analysis of numerical data or observable facts resulting in informed conclusions.

This is a dynamic department with students studying human relationships, analyzing film and television, creating films, practicing public relations, writing for the student newspaper, and instructing others in communication.

What Will I Learn
Within this program, you’ll be able to gather, evaluate and synthesize information to build and defend arguments. You’ll also demonstrate communication competence in dyadic, small group and presentational contexts. As part of this degree, you’ll employ discipline-specific knowledge in applied communication situations.

The Master of Science in Early Childhood Education is a degree designed for individuals who are currently working with young children or are desiring to work with young children in an educational setting. Courses are structured to increase the educator’s knowledge of young children and the ensuing implications for programs and curricula.

Teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators will improve their competence in designing curriculum, classrooms, centers, and classroom experiences for young children. Students will also improve their skills in evaluating instruction based on children’s needs, and develop techniques to appropriately evaluate young children’s learning.

Through the Master's in Early Childhood Education, teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators develop advanced expertise in designing curricula, classrooms, and experiences for young children. The mission of the Mathematics Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is to increase the knowledge and use of mathematics by persons both at the University and in the surrounding area. We strive to educate students at the university so that they are prepared to use mathematics intelligently in their chosen fields of study and to understand mathematics as it affects their lives and participation in public affairs.

What Will I Learn
