The finance major gives you a foundation in corporate finance, investments, portfolio management, and international finance. And, pursue your interests in more specialized areas such as entrepreneurial finance, money and banking, portfolio management, and real estate finance.

Health Sciences - Pre-Pharmacy

The BS/PharmD is for the academically outstanding student with strong, realistic motivation toward the pharmacy profession. Initial study at the University of Hartford allows you to complete the general education and basic science requirements for the BS in health science degree and the prerequisites necessary for pharmacy school.

The BS degree is awarded by the University of Hartford following the successful completion of the first year of graduate study. Students who are not in the accelerated program typically complete the BS degree in four years at the University of Hartford.

Instrumental Performance - French Horn
Through weekly privates lessons, and weekly studio classes, you will focus on small ensemble and solo playing. At Hartt, you will receive comprehensive musical training while developing innovative ideas and career ready skills while gaining exposure to nationally and internationally recognized musicians (recent guest artists include Gene Pokorney of CSO, Julie Landsman of The Met, Ray Mase of ABQ.)

Electrical Engineering

The electrical engineering program covers a branch of engineering concerned with generating, distributing, processing, coding, transmitting, receiving, and deciphering electrical and electromagnetic signals.

Electrical engineering involves the study and application of electricity and electronics. It consists of a wide range of fields including electronic circuits, digital computing, robotics, sensors and instrumentation, electrical power, telecommunications, photonics, control systems, wireless communications, signal processing, and integrated circuits. BSEE graduates may obtain a professional license as a professional engineer (PE).

Computer Science
If you enjoy solving problems using computers, and you like to be creative and use your imagination, consider a degree in computer science. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program prepares you for a career in the computer profession, business, or education, while also allowing you to explore other areas of interest. It is recommended if you are planning to pursue graduate school.

Civil Engineering
The civil engineering program prepares you for careers in various areas such as structural, geotechnical, transportation, environmental, water resources, and construction engineering.

Civil engineers will help solve critical challenges of the 21st century by rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure; planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining our built environment while protecting our natural resources; and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve a sustainable world and raise the global quality of life.

Our program provides undergraduate laboratories and student-oriented collaborative space for research and project-based learning opportunities. Students creatively develop innovative solutions to issues facing society working alongside engaged faculty members and professional practitioners.

Our health sciences program grounds you in the liberal arts with a firm foundation in the sciences, while providing a broad overview of the health care system. By majoring in health sciences, you can prepare for future study in a wide range of health care careers.

Mechanical Engineering
The Master of Science (MS) in mechanical engineering program is a research-oriented program that focuses on the advancement of the fundamental body of knowledge in mechanical engineering while also fostering the development of skills in design and analysis. This program lets you study an area of interest as part of a graduate thesis. Work towards solving a contemporary problem and become a technical expert. This program is also ideal for those who endeavor to eventually pursue their doctoral degree in an area within engineering.
