Multimedia Web Design and Development

The Multimedia Web Design and Development (MWDD) program is where you learn how to build and design websites that are innovative, attractive, and easy to use, and create motion graphics, animation, and multimedia content for mobile applications and computer games. Our small class sizes give you the chance to really get to know your professors. You can count on them to give you academic advice, as well as access to internship opportunities.
The MWDD major gives you great flexibility with unrestricted electives allowing you to incorporate your outside interests and goals into the major. You take classes in communication, computer science, and layout design

Double Bass
The Hartt School, you will join a tight-knit community of artists who are perfecting their craft. Through personal attention and mentorship from Hartt’s accomplished faculty members, you will develop innovative ideas and career ready skills. Learn about the double bass program at Hartt, including undergraduate and graduate admission and audition requirements and faculty information.

Double bass activities include

• Weekly private lessons (technical and musical development of traditional and contemporary techniques and repertoire, and orchestral music)
• Orchestra Repertoire Class (excerpts and the audition process)
• Scales/Technique Class (compliments the work done in private lessons on achieving technical mastery)
• Repertoire Class (explores all aspects of the double bass literature and history, by listening to recordings, looking at scores, and discussing various topics)

Electrical Engineering
The electrical engineering program covers a branch of engineering concerned with generating, distributing, processing, coding, transmitting, receiving, and deciphering electrical and electromagnetic signals.

Electrical engineering involves the study and application of electricity and electronics. It consists of a wide range of fields including electronic circuits, digital computing, robotics, sensors and instrumentation, electrical power, telecommunications, photonics, control systems, wireless communications, signal processing, and integrated circuits. BSEE graduates may obtain a professional license as a professional engineer (PE).

Radiologic Technology
Radiologic Technology is a dynamic, fast-paced profession that combines the use of sophisticated medical imaging technology with compassionate care of the ill and injured. Illustration
Its rigors emphasize conceptual problem-solving, technical expertise, meeting deadlines, and other professional practices. We stress drawing knowledge and skill as the basis for all visual conceptualization. This is applied to both traditional and digital mediums.

We’ll sharpen your professional standards through sophomore and junior reviews. Our program prepares you to work at a professional level, with a comprehensive understanding of illustration and the ability to merge your client’s needs with your personal style.

French Horn
Through weekly privates lessons, and weekly studio classes, you will focus on small ensemble and solo playing. At Hartt, you will receive comprehensive musical training while developing innovative ideas and career ready skills while gaining exposure to nationally and internationally recognized musicians (recent guest artists include Gene Pokorney of CSO, Julie Landsman of The Met, Ray Mase of ABQ.)

Instrumental Performance - Flute
To enrich pedagogy skills, the Hartt flute studio uses a mentoring system that pairs an undergraduate student with a graduate flutist.  They meet together for a minimum of two hours a week to work in duets, resolve any problems revealed in Techniques Class, and for the chance to do research and get feedback from a partner. This gives the graduate students a chance to develop and refine their teaching techniques before leaving school, while the undergraduates benefit from the additional “one-on-one” help in between lessons and get to know fellow flute students more quickly.

Music Vocal Performance

At Hartt, growth in technique and musicianship, guided by distinguished faculty, is the focus of vocal study.
