This unique program will introduce you to the theoretical foundations and modern laboratory experiments in the area of electronic circuits and devices. However, unlike the curriculum presented to students taking the academic path of a traditional engineer, your curriculum will focus on the foundational aspects of the field in order to prepare you to enter into the electronics hardware industry.

As a student pursuing your bachelor’s in electronics engineering technology, you’ll be taught by knowledgeable and experienced faculty members and given access to modern instrumentation and a wide range of courses. This competitive program includes concentrations in pre-health professions, health and wellness and nutrition, and incorporates coursework from five academic departments spread across two colleges.

With an emphasis on preparation for entry into graduate health profession schools in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy and physician assistant, you will be prepared to successfully enter into graduate health profession schools nationwide. Upon completion of the program, you will also be prepared to sit for certification examinations offered through the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association and other organizations in the related fields of health and fitness, clinical exercise testing and strength and conditioning. Within this program, you’ll develop sound judgment, a sense of mission and ethics, problem-solving skills, the flexibility and adaptability to tackle a variety of issues and challenges, management abilities, an understanding of politics and government and a motivation to serve.

Students in this program will:

• Demonstrate a sound foundational knowledge and understanding of the principles of biology, chemistry and nutrition and an advanced understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Demonstrate basic laboratory skills pertaining to assessments, laboratory methods, sound experimental and analytical practices, data acquisition and reporting in the exercise sciences with emphasis on physiology and biomechanics.
• Participate in the research process including literature reviews, data collection and data analysis related to the importance and influence of physical activity, nutrition and exercise on health.
• Understand and apply the principles of exercise testing and prescription to diverse populations at various developmental stages and under a range of health conditions.
• Demonstrate requisite skills and abilities for meaningful employment in exercise science-related areas or pursue graduate studies in an exercise science-related area.

The mission of the Master of Accountancy program is to prepare students for careers with increasing professional and managerial responsibility in public accounting, government, and industry, as well as prepare students for admission to accounting Ph.D. programs. To achieve this, the program will focus on the development of specialized functional accounting knowledge; effective research and communication skills; using technology appropriate for the accounting profession; objectivity, integrity, and ethical behavior; and effective critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.

To become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Alabama and most other jurisdictions, students must complete additional educational requirements beyond the bachelor’s degree. Students can satisfy these requirements through our Master of Accountancy program.

The study of communication is fundamental to understanding how messages are interpreted through cultural, political, economic, social and psychological dimensions. That’s why variety and flexibility are found at the core of TROY’s Communication Arts degree with an emphasis in Communication Studies.

TROY’s communication studies track develops both humanistic and social scientific skills to explore how people create and share meaning. Environmental Science is the field of study that examines questions addressing global warming and biodiversity that guides policy makers into decisions that ensure a sustainable future. The undergraduate environmental science program at Troy University provides students with an understanding of critical environmental issues and prepares them for careers in the environmental field. Troy University's environmental science program faculty find a balance between teaching and research. Program faculty bring real-world experience to the classroom through their research, advisory, and consultation activities.

Your classes will immerse you in the field of science starting with cell structure and going all the way to the ever-complex human anatomy.
