Earn either a bachelor of science (B.S.) or a bachelor of arts (B.A.) degree in economics depending on your strengths in mathematics and quantitative skills (B.S.) or foreign language (B.A.).

Biotechnology uses knowledge obtained about organisms at the molecular level to inform diagnostic and therapeutic decisions, create new treatments using stem- and gene-therapies, produce novel biopharmaceuticals and help address global problems such as world hunger through genetically modified plants. The Program in Applied Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (BAMBB) will prepare students to work in a wide variety of biotechnology-related settings. With a locked-step curriculum, the program will emphasize hands-on training and practical experience, while providing a solid foundation in the basic subjects from which biotechnology evolved. Faculty from academia and industry will give students a broad perspective of biotechnology’s applications and possibilities. Integrated into the curriculum are required practical internships, where students will gain additional experience in real world laboratory settings.

The UD Visual Communications Program—one of three undergraduate art and design degrees offered at UD—has an outstanding reputation. The VC degree builds on our two-year Core curriculum through a series of courses intended to inspire inquiry in the art of communication design and to impart applicable skills in various design methodologies.

Our program engages students in an educational experience where they learn by doing. In our small classes students have intense studio experiences, exploring their creativity, developing skills, and designing across all media. Students studying chemistry education engage in observation, analysis, synthesis and experimentation, breaking natural substances down into their component parts, replicating in the laboratory chemical processes that occur in the physical world and creating new substances to fulfill specific needs. The courses offered in the chemistry education major emphasize the practical application of the principles of chemistry and students learn how chemical knowledge can benefit humankind and society.

Students of the UD Russian Studies Program will not only work with the beautiful language but will also have the opportunity through a variety of courses to learn about this unique, fascinating culture and its long history. They do this through Russia's world-renowned literature and through other media such as film, the Internet, political essays and the arts. A working knowledge of Russian can help you in countless fields from government service, politics, economics, international business, the fuel industries, art history and even music, dance, ice skating and hockey.
