The University of New Haven's cybersecurity and networks program is one of the best in the country. Its research, program offerings, multidisciplinary approach, and performance in cyber competitions, among other factors, led to the University being designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) by the National Security Agency. The cybersecurity industry is expected to reach $170 billion by 2020. By 2021, there are expected to be 3.5 million unfilled positions in cybersecurity worldwide. It is impossible to overstate the importance of cybersecurity and network technology to businesses, industries, and government organizations. If their systems and programs don’t run smoothly, business and administration can be slow or even grind to a halt and the financial cost can be devastating. Our program will give you a solid understanding of both practical and conceptual cybersecurity and network technologies, including computer hardware, software, and design issues.

Students take hands-on courses related to networking, network defense, cybersecurity, cyber forensics, mobile device forensics and exploitation, and reverse engineering. Our students are also involved in conducting leading-edge research in cybersecurity, cyber forensics and networking, even as undergraduates.

Our students are in high demand upon graduation, and have been offered opportunities by organizations such as MITRE, Accenture, IBM, Intel, and NTT security.

The ultimate goal of economics is to improve the quality of life for all, but the ultimate reality of economics is that the resources to do that are limited. Accountants have the critical task of providing a comprehensive picture of a company’s financial health so that business owners can make informed decisions that directly impact their company’s bottom line. That is why the field of accounting is a breeding ground for business leaders. In fact, John D. Rockefeller, widely considered the wealthiest American of all time and the richest person in modern history, starting working at age 16 as an accountant. Today, more than half of Fortune 100 CEOs have a degree in business, economics, or accounting.

As an accounting major at the University of New Haven, you’ll participate in a well-rounded education that goes beyond the numbers. You’ll learn how to impart technologically-driven insight and even solve white-collar crimes.

The program offers three tracks. You will choose one of the following:

• Financial accounting: This is the track if you want to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Corporate accounting: You’ll develop the skills necessary to thrive in the corporate environment and become a CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
• Forensic accounting: Focus on financial crimes, including investigation and white-collar crime, through coursework in accounting and through the world-renowned Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.

To produce graduates who are competent, caring Registered Dietitian Nutritionists who remain active in the practice, by providing innovative, inter-professional, student centered education with a focus on experiential education, and with an emphasis on lifelong learning.

The Master of Science in Nutrition Sciences program provides a curriculum and supervised experiences that are designed to fulfill required competencies established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics under the Future Education Model (FEM) accreditation. Successful completion of the program results in a Verification Statement from the Program Director authorizing eligibility to sit for the national registration exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Successful passage of this exam confers the title Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

Our program is a great choice for those who’ve recently completed an undergraduate degree or who are looking to continue their education straight out of college. The program’s schedule allows for students to complete the program in as few as 12 months for those who meet the criteria to waive the three business foundation courses, and carry a 12-credit hour load. Students who do not meet the waiver criteria may complete the program in less than two years.

Our program, in combination with courses from the Pompea College of Business, provides students with a foundation in the economic and creative structures of the music industry and introduces them to the varied possibilities to utilize that knowledge.

We believe that, to apply these practices, students should have significant knowledge of and experience with the art form itself. As such, students have a selection of course options in the theory, practice, performance, and histories of music and the processes and technologies for recording music.

Comprehensive instruction in combination with practical internship opportunities and interactions with industry professionals provides students with the 21st-century background necessary for numerous industry opportunities and for pursuing innovative and entrepreneurial business endeavors.

Go on offense with our B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice — and prepare to manage the security forces, cybersecurity professionals and other experts who stay one-step ahead of fraudsters and other white-collar criminals.
