Overview
The Master of Public Administration is the most widely accepted and valued professional degree in the field of Public Service. Our MPA program provides students with the core skills and knowledge necessary to be a successful professional in Public Service, as well as offering students an opportunity to complete a concentration in one of five timely areas: 1) Municipal Management, 2) Public Financial Management, 3) Public Safety, 4) Nonprofit Management, and 5) Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Our MPA accommodates the needs of students new to the field as well as those already working in public service. In both cases, we seek students who are motivated to increase their knowledge and gain the skills necessary to take on challenging assignments in public service, particularly at the state and local level.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.

Master of Science in Accounting with Concentration in Accounting Analytics (STEM)
The objective of the Master of Science in Accounting program is to provide an in-depth framework for corporate, accounting analytics, and taxation accounting inquiry, devised in structure and content from the entire scope and process of accounting-information-based economic decision-making. The existence of such a framework is intended to provide graduate accountants and professional practitioners with an opportunity to share in the development and assessment of issues of accounting interest within a decision-making context. Additionally, the Master of Science in Accounting program is designed to provide non-accountants and practitioners with the accounting credits requisite for certification.
The accounting analytics concentration provides the tools for data analysis used in auditing, predictive modeling, and business operations analytics. Master of Science in Human Resources with Concentration in Employee Relations
The Master of Science in Human Resources is designed to prepare professionals to advance their careers in the field of human resources. The program emphasizes the strategic role that human resources plays in the achievement of a firm’s competitive strategy, while providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to be effective human resource leaders. Specific focus will be on the emerging set of human resource competencies and skills needed to navigate the evolving human resources field including globalization, diversity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility, and strategic leadership.
Students will examine each of the major human resources functional areas including recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, change management, and learning and development. Students will also learn about key human resource processes, human resource analytics, and the set of skills needed to be a strategic business partner with an organization’s business lines and other enabling functions.
This program requires 36 graduate credits: 21 credits from core courses, 12 credits from one of three concentrations, and 3 credits from a restricted elective.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with Concentration in Speech-Language Pathology
The B.S. in Health Sciences combines basic scientific knowledge, healthcare industry specific knowledge, and practical skills for students to be competitive in the 21st century healthcare workforce. The program addresses both the administrative and technical aspects of healthcare as well as the professional, social, ethical, and political elements. Courses provide broad technical skills as well as the organizational competencies needed for entry level positions in a wide range of healthcare organizations and companies, as well as preparation for graduate study in clinical professions. In particular, this program aims to provide a broad, interdisciplinary training for students interested in clinical and non-clinical health fields including but not limited to medicine, population health, clinical research administration, and healthcare administration. The B.S. in Health Sciences also offers two optional concentrations: Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy. Students majoring in Business management have the option of pursuing the concentration in Human Resource Management. Human Resource (HR) positions are in demand.
The goal of the Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resource management (HRM) is to prepare students to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities in the main areas of the field of HRM such as workforce planning and talent management, training and developing, leading performance management, motivating and rewarding employees, dealing with labor relations, and creating a safe environment where human resources can thrive and contribute to the growth of their organization. Besides the specialized set of competencies that student will acquire in HRM, they will also be able to develop a solid background in the areas of business management and liberal arts. Graduates of this program will have the ability to assume entry-level management and HR specialist positions in a variety of private, public, and non-profit organizations.
Students earning a B.S. degree in Business Management are required to complete 121 credits, including the university core curriculum (41 credits) and the business program core (30 credits).
