The Master of Science in Information Technology Management (ITM) program at the Lubar School of Business is an innovative, STEM-designated program that combines technical, managerial, and business knowledge - providing students with a unique blend of skills to address IT challenges in today's dynamic business environment.

Through a combination of rigorous core courses and advanced elective courses, students acquire a diverse skill set in information technology management and develop specialized knowledge and expertise in areas such as enterprise resource planning, business analytics, and security and risk management.

The program is designed to serve both individuals pursuing a change in career, as well as IT professionals desiring greater in-depth knowledge to advance in their careers. In addition, it will prepare students who seek admission to a PhD program. The program can be completed within one to three years, depending upon part-time or full-time enrollment status.

The Graduate Concentration in AI and Data Analytics provides the knowledge needed by professionals working in corporate, non-profit, government, and institutions. The program provides students the ability to research complex topics and to present their conclusions. Courses focus on identifying issues and providing solutions.

This concentration is designed for the music student who wishes to concentrate primarily on the major performing skill in woodwinds or brass.

Applicants proposing concentration in Music Performance: Woodwinds/Brass must demonstrate outstanding performance skills. An on-site audition is required; in extreme cases, recorded examples of an applicant’s performance may be accepted in lieu of an in-person audition. Applicant should contact faculty in the appropriate performance area to inquire about specific audition repertoire and procedures.

The MA in Language, Literature, and Translation (MALLT) is an interdisciplinary MA degree program focused on global languages, literatures and translation. With over 50 faculty from five different departments, MALLT offers a flexible program of study tailored to your professional goals. Three departments—French, Italian and Comparative Literature, Foreign Languages and Literature and Translation & Interpreting Studies cooperate in offering this interdepartmental, interdisciplinary master’s program designed for the student who wishes to focus on language, literature, and translation on a cross-cultural basis.

As an accountant, you’ll gather and organize financial information, analyze that information, assess performance and efficiency, and make suggestions for change or improvement.

The field of accounting is where you can see exponential growth. With advancements in technology, continuing changes related to accounting rules and regulations, and rapid globalization, there is no shortage of new opportunities and challenges for accountants. And because understanding of the accounting “language” is so fundamental to business, a degree in Accounting is a great launch pad for any business career.

The Cognitive and Developmental Sciences concentration provides students with the psychological foundations of education. The program emphasizes the perspective of the learner and concentrates on the following content areas: cognition, development, and social. The program focuses on research skills as they apply to education and training, throughout the lifespan, in a broad range of settings.

Our program includes a multi-cultural history of textiles, contemporary fiber artists, and the integration of traditional techniques with digital media. Students will develop an understanding and appreciation of fibers and its visual language, while learning its traditional processes and contemporary applications.

Physics is the study of matter and energy and their interactions, both in nature and under man-made conditions. Physics provides both the fundamental foundation for science and technology, and the framework for understanding the world around us and the universe itself.

UWM students can shape their Physics major in one of two directions. The standard major provides a broad overview of all aspects of physics: mechanics, optics, thermodynamics, quantum physics, magnetism, electricity, and the mathematical principles that underlie physics. In the astronomy focused version of the major, students master these basics plus take additional coursework in astrophysics and gravitation.
