Our competitive performance programs are led by renowned performing artist faculty. Students regularly perform as soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestral musicians while earning their degree. They are prepared for modern, multifaceted professional careers as performers and/or teachers. The program offers a thorough grounding in instrumental technique and repertory, and broad and continuous experience in performance.

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and Technology offers a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy that prepares students to become occupational therapists. During the program, students engage in graduate-level instruction embedded in the theory, research, and clinical underpinnings required to become evidence-based occupational therapy practitioners. Students may select a thesis option or project option in pursuing this degree. Students who are interested can choose to combine elective courses from the OT program with other courses on campus to receive the transcript-designated concentration in assistive technology and accessible design and/or ergonomics.

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese offers a program of graduate study leading to a Master of Arts degree that focuses on the study of the Spanish cultures, language, linguistics, and literatures of the Hispanic world. Spanish MA graduates who subsequently wish to pursue the PhD are very advanced in the process of mastering the area in which they wish to specialize in their doctoral studies. Those who choose not to continue studying toward a PhD or a career in teaching will be able to pursue employment in other fields that require full proficiency in the Spanish language as well as mastery of Hispanic literature, culture, and linguistics.

Our undergraduate program of study is committed to helping students develop their creative, conceptual and technical abilities through media: film, video, audio, installation, and new genres. Our goal is for you to become a creative thinker, an informed viewer and an art maker — someone whose imaginative skills are matched by an ability to learn and use the technologies to say something important.

Our students participate in every aspect of the filmmaking process to better understand how every role works together. This holistic approach prepares our graduates to enter the film industry with a high level of professionalism and employability.

The Master of Science in Information Technology Management (ITM) program at the Lubar School of Business is an innovative, STEM-designated program that combines technical, managerial, and business knowledge - providing students with a unique blend of skills to address IT challenges in today's dynamic business environment.

Through a combination of rigorous core courses and advanced elective courses, students acquire a diverse skill set in information technology management and develop specialized knowledge and expertise in areas such as enterprise resource planning, business analytics, and security and risk management.

The program is designed to serve both individuals pursuing a change in career, as well as IT professionals desiring greater in-depth knowledge to advance in their careers. In addition, it will prepare students who seek admission to a PhD program. The program can be completed within one to three years, depending upon part-time or full-time enrollment status.

The Graduate Concentration in AI and Data Analytics provides the knowledge needed by professionals working in corporate, non-profit, government, and institutions. The program provides students the ability to research complex topics and to present their conclusions. Courses focus on identifying issues and providing solutions.

The Department of History offers MA and PhD programs that prepare students for careers in teaching, in historical research, and in archives, historical agencies, museums, libraries and government. The Department offers a wide array of geographically, chronologically and thematically defined courses.

The Department of Philosophy offers a program of graduate study leading to the degree of Master of Arts. The general purpose of this program is to provide students with the background and stimulus for critical and original philosophical thoughts. The program is designed to serve both those students who wish to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in philosophy and those students who wish either to terminate their formal philosophical studies with the Master of Arts degree or to integrate a graduate level of study in philosophy with graduate studies in other academic areas.

The Digital Arts and Culture (DAC) BA is an interdisciplinary degree program, combining courses in the areas of arts, humanities, social sciences, and information studies. The major aims to empower learning communities by leading students to a variety of opportunities: to develop skills and understanding of new knowledge production and research methods; to operate with confidence as media practitioners and global communicators with a diverse range of media literacies; and to collaborate and contribute as creative problem solvers using digital media in a networked culture.

Students who complete the Digital Arts & Culture major will be able to:

• Analyze digital and electronic media systems, explaining what these platforms do and how they do it.
• Engage with complex digital issues: online, offline, via ubiquitous computing hardware and software.
• Organize information, both architecturally and visually, structuring software, websites, advertisements, social media, and more.
• Demonstrate hands-on, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary, media production with artists and designers.

Biology is the study of life. Biologists analyze organism functions at the cellular and molecular levels using genetics, biochemistry, and microscopy. They also study interactions between organisms and with the environment by examining behavior, morphology, physiology and genetics. Students can take a broad curriculum within Biological Sciences or focus on specific areas, such as ecology, evolution and behavior, cell and molecular biology, or microbiology. Studies in Biological Sciences have applications across many areas including agriculture, medicine, and the environment. Biological Sciences is a popular choice for students preparing for careers in healthcare, agriculture, natural resources and environmental sciences, food management, bioremediation, as well as the biomedical and biotechnology fields. A degree in Biological Sciences also prepares students for professional careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary science, and education, and graduate studies in the life sciences.
