The Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology focuses on preparing students for careers in fields including, but not limited to, medicine and health, drug manufacturing and design, agriculture, forensic science (crime lab science), academic/industrial research and development, and scientific writing.

The teaching and research programs of the department are conducted in modern, well-equipped classrooms and laboratories. Our curriculum fosters the development of active learning, teamwork, critical thinking, scientific reasoning and communication skills, as well as, relevant content knowledge in both biochemistry and molecular biology. Within the curriculum there are many opportunities for students to be associated with cutting-edge research through independent studies and undergraduate research projects.

The Greek major allows students to focus primarily on the study of Greek language, literature, and culture. Students are required to take 7 semesters of Greek language. Additional electives cover courses in a diverse range of subjects relating to the study of the Classical world.

Management focuses on getting things done. Managers directly support the efforts of other people in business and organizations, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities. Managers focus on achieving the goals of the business or organization while being accountable for performance results.

High-performing managers are good at building working relationships with others. They help co-workers and employees develop skills, foster teamwork, and create a work environment both satisfying for employees while pursuing the business or organization’s goals. Many of our management majors also double major in human resource management or complete the certificate in human resources.

Program Outcomes
When you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in management. The first two years of the program ground students in the essential, concrete skills needed as business students while the final two years focus on management skills.

Help design your own degree program—one broad in scope, narrow in concentration, and flexible enough to draw courses from all of the departments and programs in the College of Liberal Arts. The liberal studies degree is ideal if your interests encompass more than one liberal arts field and you desire greater flexibility in your program. The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering offers a program of graduate study leading to a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.) degree with a major in Renewable and Clean Energy. This increasingly critical field of engineering focuses on alternative energy technologies that hold promise of becoming a substantial source of energy for the United States. The Renewable and Clean Energy program includes courses on many types of alternative energy systems, in addition to courses on fundamental concepts related to energy. Included in this program are courses on fuel cells, solar energy, wind power, hydrogen fuel, energy conversion, energy materials, energy efficiency, thermodynamics, etc. The intent of this program is to train the next generation of renewable and clean energy engineers and to develop research in the area of renewable and clean energies.

A degree in marketing allows you to choose from a broad selection of courses that will prepare you for a sustainable, successful career. With only three required courses, you can build a program customized to your career goals. We also offer an emerging leaders program that will provide you with additional learning opportunities.

Program Outcomes
The marketing program prepares you to work in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer organization. You will learn about the motivations and behaviors and motivations of consumers, how to impact those behaviors, and how to satisfy your costumers sustainably. Learn to create, communicate, and sell, with a thorough foundation in global issues, digital technologies, and data insights. We will teach you how to apply the marketing concepts and planning taught in the classroom in real-world situations.

A finance degree will give you the analytical skills needed for a successful professional career in today’s global financial markets. Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation in all areas of finance paired with the flexibility to tailor your degree to your future career plans. Our degree is also an University Affiliation Program of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, covering more than 70 percent of their body of knowledge.

Wright State University offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Dance that prepares students to become versatile professional dancers, choreographers, and teachers – by integrating rigorous training and performance experience in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, with acting and musical theatre studies. Our faculty and guest artists represent all facets of professional dance and do all they can to help students prepare for success.

Dance majors hone their technical abilities and creativity through daily ballet classes and specialized training in modern and jazz/theatre dance, perform in dance concerts and musical theatre productions, and create and produce their own choreography.

Our most exceptional students experience the life of a professional dancer from the start when selected for scholarships that provide performance opportunities with our partner companies Dayton Ballet and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.

Advanced Studies is a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree program that is available for currently licensed teachers who want in-depth study in a particular area of interest. This program offers a flexible option for highly motivated individuals who are seeking advanced study with specific professional objectives, such as expanding knowledge or skills in a specified area, and/or who are seeking to earn an endorsement, along with the Master’s degree.

Program Outcomes

Students completing the program will be able to:

• Communicate a sophisticated knowledge of history and disseminate it to the general public through completion of thesis projects, Public History capstone projects, Public History conferences, and other presentations and exhibits.
• Encourage others to explore and understand the historical context of their lives through public contact in societies, historical organizations, community and social groups, local and regional schools, History Day, and in museums and archives.
• Develop their own appreciation and knowledge of history through contact and networking with other historians (through the department, alumni, and professional organizations), and through a continued quest for knowledge by readings and primary research. 
• Be prepared to matriculate into Ph.D. programs or to advance their careers in secondary education. Graduates in the Public History plan will be qualified to obtain employment in historical organizations, corporations, government, non-profits, archives, libraries, or museums.

Biomedical engineering (BME) is a dynamic field and combines traditional engineering approaches with other crucial sciences to advance technology and improve quality of life—you could be working to solve problems in biology, chemistry, or medicine. Specialized areas of BME include bioinstrumentation, biomaterials, biomechanics, medical imaging, orthopedic engineering, and systems physiology.

For students interested in a career in medicine or other post-baccalaureate health professions, biomedical engineering can prepare students with related technical skills and practical applications necessary for success.
