The Bachelor of Science curriculum in Chemistry approaches students' educational endeavors with a broad, integrated, and in-depth view. Departmental requirements, combined with university core requirements and electives, offer a balanced course load for students. This provides undergraduates with the opportunity to explore where their interests in the science field will lead them. This option combines all the required courses for admission to a professional school, which includes two years of chemistry, one year of physics, one year of mathematics, while utilizing recommended courses as science electives to fulfill the bachelor's requirements. The honors program in the Department of Art and Art History is designed to give students with outstanding academic ability and superior accomplishments in art history the opportunity to complete a program that encourages and recognizes their distinguished efforts. These students may earn an honors degree by completing the departmental major requirements, maintaining a high academic record, and successfully completing a senior honors project. Students are usually admitted to the program during their junior year. Interested students can obtain information on the honors program from the Department of Art and Art History office.

• Have integrated drawing skills into their aesthetic sensibility.
• Demonstrate an acquaintance with the materials and procedures of four of the studio disciplines taught at Wright State.

Human resource management focuses on the people and the activities of organizations that affect the behaviors of its employees. Managers and employees knowledgeable in human resource topics are critical to ensuring organizations and businesses attract, motivate, and retain a qualified, effective workforce.

The human resource management major provides advanced training if you are seeking upper-level human resources positions. Advanced human resource professionals are detail-oriented, have excellent people skills, and strong social and emotional awareness. As a professional, you create an environment that is inviting and empowering while ensuring your employer meets all legal and compliance procedures. Many of our human resource management students also double major in management, acquiring additional skills in leadership, team, and organization development.

The urban affairs major is right for you if you want to make communities better places to live, if you want to fix problems such as vacant housing, decaying infrastructure, access to healthy food, ensuring safe neighborhoods, reducing homelessness, city planning, economic development, and equal education and job opportunities for future generations.

The Urban Affairs program provides students with an appreciation of the urban environment as a complex system and teaches them to approach urban processes from multiple perspectives. The Bachelor of Arts degree places emphasis on the qualitative aspects of public service management. In contrast, the Bachelor of Science degree emphasizes quantitative data analysis.

Businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies require people skilled in supply chain management to coordinate the flow of materials, finances, and information within and between companies. Supply chain management specialists improve service for customers while reducing costs for employers and you will study the strategies that make business, nonprofits, and governments competitive within a global economy.

Supply chain management graduates have a high chance of placement in an internship or job immediately after graduation and the skills learned as part of your degree will make you competitive for increasingly important positions. If you are curious, passionate about innovation, and like solving problems, a degree in supply chain management will prepare you to excel in a wide variety of career paths and industries.

Program Outcomes
If you complete this program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in supply chain management. In this program, you will get a broad education in core business skills such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations management along with emphasizing effective management of production and service operations. You will study concepts and strategies that help businesses and organization stay competitive in the world economy, including management tools and analytic techniques, such as forecasting, purchasing, and logistics, inventory management, production scheduling, and quality manufacturing practices.

Our program covers three primary areas: basic problem solving and data analysis tools, major concepts and strategies for managing people, materials, and production resources, and the integration of the supply function into overall business or organizational strategy. This program will prepare you to work in supply chain management jobs and careers or to continue your education with a graduate or doctoral degree.

The program in selected studies allows students to pursue a self-designed course of study. It is intended for students with a definite educational objective that is not met by the majors presently offered by the College of Liberal Arts. While the program is free from several traditional requirements, students must meet other requirements and procedures to obtain the degree.

The School of Music offers majors in the following areas of performance: bassoon, clarinet, classical guitar, euphonium or baritone horn, flute, horn, jazz guitar, oboe, organ, percussion, piano, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin, violoncello, and voice. With departmental permission, students may major in fields other than those listed. Students must study continuously in their chosen disciplines until they meet all graduation requirements, including satisfactory public performance of specified recitals during the junior and senior years.

Each music performance major is required to participate in at least one university ensemble related to the student’s applied music concentration during each semester in which the student is enrolled full time. Assignment to an ensemble is made by the director of bands, director of choral studies, or director of orchestral studies; the appropriate ensemble director; and the student’s full-time applied instructor. When the student’s applied instructor is not a full-time faculty member, approval must be given by the chair of the student’s applied board. To be eligible for the Bachelor of Music degree, the performance major must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the major performing medium and a 2.0 in all other required music courses.

Pursue a specialty in areas like immunology, virology, immunotoxicology, DNA and conventional vaccine development, and molecular genetics. The mathematics component of the Bachelor of Arts program surveys the classical areas of mathematics—analysis, algebra, and geometry—and their history. Courses in statistics and in computer science provide a taste of two relatively young branches of the mathematical sciences. In addition, a broad choice of electives allows you to either pursue greater depth in one of these areas, or to sample a broader range of courses in mathematics, statistics, and computing.

The Bachelor of Arts program features breadth and flexibility. For instance, there is a Related Course Requirement specifically designed to accommodate subject matter outside the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and even outside both the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
