Wright State’s excellent facilities include access to constant temperature rooms, coldrooms, darkrooms, animal care facilities, and cell and tissue culture facilities. The equipment includes the latest available technology in fluorescent microscopes, flow cytometry, and mass spectrometers.

You will learn about the human body and how it interfaces with its immune system to battle foreign organisms. Pursue a specialty in areas like immunology, virology, immunotoxicology, DNA and conventional vaccine development, and molecular genetics. The master’s program offers you a broad education in accountancy-related topics, allowing you to work in a variety of business industries, governmental agencies, or non-profit organizations. The demand for graduates educated in accountancy is growing in a complex and competitive business environment.

Our Master of Accountancy program helps you meet the requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Graduates of our Master of Accountancy program consistently perform above the national average for passing the CPA exam and our graduates usually post pass rates that are among the top rates of any program in the state of Ohio.  

Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Master of Accountancy degree. You will have a broad educational experience for completing professional accounting exams such as the Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Management Accountant exams, as well as meet the requirements to take the CPA exam. This program also provides an excellent background for students interested in pursuing a law degree in the future.

The Applied Behavioral Science Program currently offers Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Social Problems.

The Criminal Justice and Social Problems track emphasizes methodology and theoretical courses and topics-focused workshops aimed at improving the research and intellectual foundations for employment and professional advancement in the criminal justice fields. Students in the program typically work for, or plan to work for, the courts, probation offices, police agencies, prison administrations, or private and public programs for juvenile offenders.

The training received in basic social science skills and knowledge is also a useful foundation for those who wish to proceed to doctoral-level study in a number of fields. An optional practicum provides field experience for those without prior experience in a criminal justice field. The program culminates in an applied research effort that, at the student’s option, takes the form of either a journal article project or a traditional thesis. Courses are offered primarily in the evenings and workshops primarily on the weekends to accommodate employed students.

Program Outcomes

• Students will master graduate level knowledge concerning computer based  research skills.
• Students will master graduate level quantitative and qualitative skills as appropriate to the study of criminal justice. 
• Students will master formal graduate writing skills appropriate for the creation  of graduate theses/projects and research articles. 
• Students will master the skills of reviewing applied programs (e.g., a program for felons whose crimes are tied to alcohol abuse) in terms of the extant literature, logical cohesion and current empirical knowledge.
• Students will be able to use their skills in the creation and administration of applied programs in both public and private agencies.

Industrial and Human Factors Engineering (IHE), a highly customizable degree in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, prepares working professionals towards effective design and operation of a variety of systems in healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace, distribution, retail, and many others. While industrial engineers utilize the tools of simulation, optimization, computing, and statistics to design and improve modern technology-laden systems, human factors engineers design systems that effectively integrate human abilities/limitations and machines/tools.

• Master graduate level quantitative or qualitative research skills as appropriate to the study of international relations and comparative politics.
• Master formal graduate writing skills appropriate for the creation of graduate theses and projects.
• Have a solid understanding of the knowledge of their chosen specialties within international relations or comparative politics, with an understanding of the surrounding their topic of inquiry and the methodologies used to examine it.

Studying one of the modern languages at Wright State will help you improve your ability to read, write, and speak in another language, study how that language is used in a social context, and become a more enlightened citizen. Management focuses on getting things done. Managers directly support the efforts of other people in business and organizations, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling activities. Managers focus on achieving the goals of the business or organization while being accountable for performance results.

High-performing managers are good at building working relationships with others. They help co-workers and employees develop skills, foster teamwork, and create a work environment both satisfying for employees while pursuing the business or organization’s goals. Many of our management majors also double major in human resource management or complete the certificate in human resources.

Program Outcomes
When you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in management. The first two years of the program ground students in the essential, concrete skills needed as business students while the final two years focus on management skills.

The B.S. in physics degree is designed for students who wish to gain a strong foundation in experimental and theoretical physics along with a solid background in mathematics that wish to pursue graduate school in physics or a related field, such as engineering, or directly enter the workforce and a career in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field.

In today’s business environment, graduates skilled in creative problem solving and risk taking with the ability to see new opportunities are in high demand. An entrepreneurship degree will help you learn those skills and equip you with the experiences necessary to succeed in a business environment or start your own venture.

If you are eager to learn, customer focused, creative, and have strong technical, planning, and organizational abilities, majoring in entrepreneurship can benefit you in nearly any career field or industry.

Program Outcomes
If you complete this program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in entrepreneurship. This multidisciplinary program’s courses focus on starting, financing, commercializing, and managing a new business. Students learn to evaluate and plan new business opportunities, research and write comprehensive business plans, and learn additional skills in market analysis, problem solving, return on investment principles, team building, and planning.
