Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes. Many psychologists use scientific methods to study behavior, while others are professional practitioners who use psychological knowledge and technology to help solve individual and social problems. General areas of psychology include learning and memory, sensory systems and perception, and thought and language. Applied fields include clinical psychology, counseling, industrial/organizational psychology and school psychology. Graduates can pursue careers in psychology or in allied fields including medicine, dentistry, law, social work and education.

In the Katz School's interdisciplinary M.S. in Biotechnology Management and Entrepreneurship, you’ll master the mission-critical scientific, technical and business knowledge needed to launch, manage, scale and commercialize biotechnology innovations and delivery systems. You’ll learn what it takes to shepherd a great idea through regulations, clinical trials, compliance and patents. The Katz School's master's in Speech-Language Pathology, based in New York City, is one of the few SLP programs in the country specializing in the medical aspects of speech-language pathology. Our M.S. in SLP takes a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating speech, language and communication cases across the lifespan.

Through our hands-on curriculum, you will engage in clinical fieldwork each semester and gain practical, hands-on experience under the guidance of faculty, supervisors and mentors. You will have the opportunity to conduct research with faculty, attend professional conferences and contribute to academic publications, and you will graduate prepared to apply for certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and for licensure in New York State.
