Designed to meet the changing needs of health care and social services, our MA in Mental Health Counseling prepares students to test to become Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMCH) from the New York State Education Department. Courses in art history and architectural history study the visual arts in their historical context. Students examine each work not only for its intrinsic aesthetic appeal, but also for a perspective into artistic schools and movements, artist careers, and larger social and cultural issues within intellectual history.
