The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Business provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

Upon successful completion of the program, students may be eligible for admission to a MPhil or PhD subject to fulfilment of requirements for candidature as specified in the Higher Degree Research policy, and successful completion of the confirmation procedure. The grade achieved will determine entry to either a PhD or MPhil candidature (see the Pathways to further study section for further information).

The Program Director will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

Students may choose to exit the Graduate Diploma program (after successfully completing the specified courses) with the Graduate Certificate in Research Studies in Business.

This degree will provide you with in-depth clinical training and offers professional experiences through participation in industry-based projects. You will be trained to undertake and accept responsibility for the array of diagnostic procedures required in clinical physiology and public health laboratories.

To be awarded a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree, one additional year of study is required following the successful completion of the Bachelor of Business.

In the Honours year, you will complete courses to develop your research skills and a 20,000-word dissertation. Your dissertation topic will be decided in consultation with academic staff members and will focus on a topic or theme related to the stream of study you choose.

Environmental engineering is your pathway to protecting the natural environment and its resources by ensuring that we minimise the adverse effect we may have on it. In this program you will develop an understanding of complex environmental problems and issues, and of the challenges facing environmental sustainability. You will learn to design creative engineering solutions and manage key projects associated with environmental protection in the area of solid and hazardous waste management, air quality monitoring and control, water and wastewater treatment, and renewable energy. The Graduate Diploma of Law Research Studies is an 80 credit point program designed to provide graduates in the Law discipline with the opportunity to undertake advanced study in research methodology and to undertake supervised research work, in the discipline area appropriate to their research trajectory.

The program provides the necessary preparation for entry into a higher degree research program (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), or equivalent program) for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission into these programs. The program will also be available to students who wish to undertake advanced studies in the identified disciplinary fields, but who may not wish to progress to MPhil or PhD study.

This degree provides training for people who wish to help to make society more sustainable. It also provides opportunities for those who want to move into more senior management positions. You will develop the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, to contribute to policy-making processes and to run environmental management systems.
