This program is designed to increase your fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and help you to gain knowledge of Deaf culture and Deaf history so that you can effectively interact with Deaf individuals.

Deaf persons can benefit from this program by learning more about their own language, culture, and history.

Improvements to the program include:

Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology is a versatile program offering a variety of learning paths, career avenues, and a paid co-op work placement which gives you the opportunity to experience the industry first hand.

The Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology Diploma program and the Cabinetry and Woodworking Certificate program share a common Term 1. You will begin by learning about the safe operation of tools and equipment used to produce cabinets, furniture, and other wood products. You will then learn and work with construction details, materials, hardware, drafting, computers and finishing techniques. You will receive instruction about the functioning of today’s woodworking industry and how to work in it. Employment opportunities remain excellent in Manitoba.

After completing a common Term 1 semester, the learning in the Diploma program is taken to another level. Exploring and searching deeper into the world of wood manufacturing combines academics with hands-on shop work. Emphasis is put on areas like Industrial Engineering, Production Planning and Operation Management. A unique individual final project that demonstrates all your skills will be built.

Learning is fostered through a blend of workshop practice, classroom delivery, computer labs, advanced woodworking technologies, and manufacturing concepts and techniques. You will complete a major project that gives you the opportunity to step into the real world of woodworking.

Upon completion of the program, you will earn a Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology diploma and may begin your career as a Woodworking Technologist. This program may also be eligible for Manitoba Apprenticeship Cabinetmaking Level 1.The nature of your work may involve the following:

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program overview information session. You will also be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness

CO-OP/Practicum Information
Co-operative education integrates classroom theory with related on-the-job-training by alternating terms of academic study and employment. This program includes a four-month paid work co-op that takes place during the summer months.
You are assisted in finding a suitable work experience. Co-op work placements provide hands-on reinforcement of academic learning and often lead to permanent job offers.

Develop your distinctive style and technical skills with RRC's Professional Photography program. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to develop the technical and creative aspects of digital imaging and processing. Students will develop skills in digital image manipulation, lighting, SLR operation, exposure, composition, printing, editing, retouching and processing as well as foundational business skills. Through classroom discussions, projects, guest lecturers and field experiences, you will become knowledgeable in all areas of digital imaging and processing.

You will acquire hands-on skills in the following:

This program develops the skills and knowledge you need to effectively manage the health information required for patient care, administration, research, and education. The program trains you in the specialized techniques required in health information management. It offers a unique combination of medical, computer, and business courses.

Emphasis during the program will be on the following:

• Health information science
• Medical terminology
• Anatomy and physiology
• Medical coding
• Computerization
• Statistical analysis

As a graduate you will be eligible to write the national certification exam administered by the Canadian Health Information Management Association. Successful certification allows you to seek employment across Canada.

Business, Accounting and Management is a comprehensive program that helps you develop skills in the core areas of business. It also provides you with up-to-date training in computers, accounting, business writing and human resource management. Your online education is supplemented by work-integrated learning, where you will gain valuable experience in a business environment that is immediately applicable in the workforce. Upon completion of the program, you will be ready for employment in a business or accounting environment.

This is an entry-level program that develops the basic knowledge and skills you need to perform routine maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems and components. The program is designed to prepare you to adjust, service, and repair a variety of heavy mobile equipment, usually diesel powered, used in construction, agriculture, or highway transportation. The work will involve basic servicing to engines and related equipment, and performing repairs. This will include transmission servicing, hydraulic/air brakes, and basic electrical in heavy duty application.

Emphasis during training will be on practical projects. Most of your training will take place at the College in the diesel mechanics workshop, a work environment designed to provide the practical experience you will need to find a job. You will spend approximately 60 percent of your training hours doing practical work on engines, standard transmissions, automatic transmissions, basic electric, basic brake systems, and servicing of equipment.

A number of related trade courses such as arc and gas welding, mathematics, science, and communications are included in the program. Theory grades are determined by examinations in each course, while practical evaluations are determined from each instructor's practical assignments.

This program provides you with the skills and knowledge to work with children and youth experiencing behavioural and emotional difficulties. You will learn how to intervene and assess situations and formulate strategies to help children, youth, and their families identify and resolve concerns and enhance their quality of life.

The program covers the dynamics of human development within a multicultural perspective. Courses include child and adolescent development, special issues affecting child and youth care, and care for children who have emotional or behavioural difficulties.

This program includes training in relationship development, group process, and family dynamics. It also includes skill-oriented family support and intervention courses, child and youth care methods, listening skills, and activities programming.

This program provides the skills you need to gain employment in the production of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food products. This program provides specialized training in the pharmaceutical and food industry through hands-on learning in our pilot scale production facilities. These facilities include Solid Dosage Manufacturing, Applied Biopharmaceutical Production, and Food Processing.

You will acquire the skills used to produce pharmaceutical products such as over-the-counter and prescription drugs, vaccines, analgesics, and antibiotics. Additionally, the program will provide hands-on training and skill development in food processing and manufacturing.

• Develop the necessary skills for an entry-level administration position in a legal setting.
• You will learn how to prepare legal documentation for real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, domestic and family law, business, and appeals. You will also gain hands-on experience through the program’s practicum component.
• This may be an ideal program for those re-entering the workforce or developing a new career path in the legal profession. 

Take this program to gain a broad business background if you do not meet the admission requirements for the two-year Business Administration program. This three-year program will help you develop a potential for supervision, management, and leadership through the study of business-related programs and practical projects. With these foundations you may choose a career from a variety of job opportunities in the business community.

The modified pace in the first two years gives you additional time to upgrade your skills and knowledge and to meet your individual needs.  In the third year, you take courses along with students in the two-year Business Administration program.  Upon graduation you receive a Business Administration diploma.
