Bachelor of Construction Management (Co-op)

This program provides you with a basic working knowledge of all areas of metal working and spray painting. You will develop the skills and knowledge to repair damaged vehicles, including all phases of autobody repair and painting. 
You will learn to weld and use trade tools and how to work with and shape sheet metal. You will also learn the techniques required to realign and straighten the bodies and frames of cars. The program also teaches proper methods of patching, finishing, and preparing a panel for paint application.
You will learn how to perform the necessary repairs and replacements to restore vehicles to their pre-damaged condition, and how to determine how much and what kind of work is needed for each vehicle.

Safety in the work environment is stressed.
Environmentally friendly high-volume and low-pressure spray equipment is used along with Low V.O.C. refinishing products

The Architectural Technology diploma program is a comprehensive, two year, direct entry program consisting of four 16-week semesters. You will complete a four month co-operative work term between year one and year two that will provide you with related and practical experience in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction. Upon graduation from the program, career options available to you may include working with:

In the Architectural Technology program, you will experience a wide-ranging curriculum of courses that emphasize the learning and practical application of current design and constructions techniques. You will take advanced courses and build on competencies gained as you move from semester to semester. Courses include subjects such as:

Co-op work experience

Civil Engineering Technology is a cluster of diploma programs that provides students with career training in construction engineering, environmental engineering, and geomatics technologies.

During the first year, you will acquire generic competencies in common core courses in the following areas:

• Algebra and trigonometry (M)
• Chemistry
• Statics and strength of materials (M)
• Surveying (M)
• Technical communications
• Computer applications
• Technical drafting
• WHMIS
• General Safety Trainin

Important Advisory Note: Courses designated (M) are high in mathematical content.  If you have weak mathematical skills, or if you completed Essentials Math in high school (instead of the recommended Applied Math or Pre-Calculus Math), it is strongly recommended that you take the preparatory Mathematics for Technology course available throughout Continuing Education at RRC, prior to beginning the program.

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program overview information session.  You will also be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.  Although the diagnostic testing is optional, we strongly recommend that you participate.  Should your results be lower than a C (60%) you would benefit from taking the Mathematics for Technology course as a pre-program refresher.

After completion of the first year courses, you would then apply and develop these competencies during a six-month co-operative education work term.

In the second and third years*, you take more advanced courses and build on the competencies you gained in first year. The focus is on application and design. To enter into subsequent terms (both academic and co-op), and to graduate, you need a minimum cumulative term grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00.

This program prepares you to work in the design and production of high-quality manufactured goods. The topics covered include:

You will select some specialty electives in your last term. This specialization completes your training by providing deeper insight into areas of technology that are of interest to you. These areas of specialization have been developed to help meet the needs of industry.

The Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma has been accredited by the following:

• Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba
• Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists, providing Canada-wide reciprocity with other provincial organizations

Take this program to gain a broad business background if you do not meet the admission requirements for the two-year Business Administration program. This three-year program will help you develop a potential for supervision, management, and leadership through the study of business-related programs and practical projects. With these foundations you may choose a career from a variety of job opportunities in the business community.

The modified pace in the first two years gives you additional time to upgrade your skills and knowledge and to meet your individual needs.  In the third year, you take courses along with students in the two-year Business Administration program.  Upon graduation you receive a Business Administration diploma.

Develop your distinctive style and technical skills with RRC's Professional Photography program. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to develop the technical and creative aspects of digital imaging and processing. Students will develop skills in digital image manipulation, lighting, SLR operation, exposure, composition, printing, editing, retouching and processing as well as foundational business skills. Through classroom discussions, projects, guest lecturers and field experiences, you will become knowledgeable in all areas of digital imaging and processing.

You will acquire hands-on skills in the following:

• SLR (Single-lens reflex) camera operation
• Exposure
• Composition
• Printing
• Editing
• Retouching
• Processing

• Develop the necessary skills for an entry-level administration position in a legal setting.
• You will learn how to prepare legal documentation for real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, domestic and family law, business, and appeals. You will also gain hands-on experience through the program’s practicum component.
• This may be an ideal program for those re-entering the workforce or developing a new career path in the legal profession. 

This program gives you an understanding of the basic purpose, construction, operation, and service of component parts and assemblies of an automobile.
You will develop the knowledge and skills required to disassemble, inspect, machine, calibrate and reassemble motor vehicle units and components. You will study internal combustion engines, automatic and standard transmissions, brakes, steering, electrical circuits, wiring, and fuel systems.
Most training will take place at RRC’s auto mechanics workshop, an environment that will give you the practical experience required for industry employment. You will also acquire industry work experience as part of this program.

The Applied Accounting program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills to provide entry level accounting support. In addition to developing basic accounting and computer skills, the program includes courses in general business practices.  

While the program highlights accounting topics, emphasis will also be placed on:

• Communication
• Records management
• Business software

This degree program focuses on the management skills needed in heavy, industrial and commercial, and residential construction. Consider it if you are looking to develop managerial expertise and are already working in areas related to  the skilled trades, engineering, or engineering technologies.

The program curriculum focuses on technology, science, leadership, and management. You will learn how to work effectively in all construction management settings. Program learning outcomes comply with codes, laws, and regulations while respecting sustainable environmental practices.
