This program provides you with the skills and knowledge to work with children and youth experiencing behavioural and emotional difficulties. You will learn how to intervene and assess situations and formulate strategies to help children, youth, and their families identify and resolve concerns and enhance their quality of life.

The program covers the dynamics of human development within a multicultural perspective. Courses include child and adolescent development, special issues affecting child and youth care, and care for children who have emotional or behavioural difficulties.

This program includes training in relationship development, group process, and family dynamics. It also includes skill-oriented family support and intervention courses, child and youth care methods, listening skills, and activities programming.

This program is specifically targeted to students with technical diplomas and degrees. The program offers a condensed, accessible solution to the demand for advanced management training by providing technologists and others with the knowledge and skills required to perform as supervisors or managers in technical organizations.

The program complements your current technical skills with important managerial skills. After successfully completing this program you will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the following:

The Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma has been accredited by the following:

This program trains you for entry-level employment as an engineering technologist in the electrical industry, which provides a broad range of employment opportunities. You develop the conceptual knowledge base and troubleshooting skills to prepare you for a range of roles that include design, installation, maintenance, production, and technical sales and support.

Topics in the program include:

• Use and application of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency motor drives (VFDs), soft starters, and data communication to link all of the preceding elements for the control of manufacturing systems.
• Planning, designing, and specifications of power systems with motor protection for buildings and industrial plants. You will generate AutoCAD drawings, calculate short circuit currents, and coordinate fuses, circuit breakers, and protective relays. Canadian Electrical Code instruction is delivered by journeyman electricians.
• Hydro electric power generation, transmission, and distribution systems with a view to operation, control, and protection.
• Assessment of power system harmonics concerns by measuring TDD and THD and offering solutions to improve performance.

Co-op/Practicum Information
Co-operative education integrates classroom theory with related on-the-job-training by alternating terms of academic study and employment.
This program offers a co-operative education stream to give you direct industry experience, introduce your abilities to local employers, and help finance your schooling. 
Year 1 includes an optional co-op work term. Year 2 includes a mandatory co-op work term. Only students enrolled in the first or second year of Electronic, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering Technology are eligible to enrol in the co-op work term.

Note: First year of the program will be held at the Exchange District Campus before transferring to the main Notre Dame Campus for the rest of the program.

This program develops the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively perform the oxyacetylene, arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG), and metal inert gas (MIG) welding processes and related operations.
You will spend the majority of class time on practical shop work, with your remaining time spent on instruction in welding, mathematics, science, industrial communications, and blueprint reading.

Theory tests in each welding component and grading of practical work assignments to government and industry standards.
Upon graduation you will receive a certificate from Red River College.
Students will be tested for Canadian Welding Bureau certification in SMAW and GMAW for an additional fee, and on passing will receive a student ticket from Canadian Welding Bureau.

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.
This is a not an apprenticeship program, but may provide credit transfer opportunities towards apprenticeship. The Government of Manitoba, Entrepreneurship, Training and Trade offers apprenticeship training that combines on-the-job practical skills development with levels of technical training. Magnetic resonance uses magnetism, radio waves and computers to acquire medical images. Although still a young technology, it has become firmly rooted in medical practice, particularly for:

• Studying the cardiovascular system 
• Detecting tumours, especially in the brain and spinal column
• Studying body chemistry and functions
• Imaging soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons or arteries

The unique nature of this technology presents special imaging, patient care, and safety requirements. Since magnetic resonance does not involve the use of ionizing radiation, radiation protection is unnecessary.
Magnetic resonance scans require sliding patients into a body-length tunnel - the core of the magnetic field. The image obtained from magnetic resonance scan generally appears on a computer monitor, or as a photograph or computer printouts.

The Architectural Technology diploma program is a comprehensive, two year, direct entry program consisting of four 16-week semesters. You will complete a four month co-operative work term between year one and year two that will provide you with related and practical experience in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction. Upon graduation from the program, career options available to you may include working with:

In the Architectural Technology program, you will experience a wide-ranging curriculum of courses that emphasize the learning and practical application of current design and constructions techniques. Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology is a versatile program offering a variety of learning paths, career avenues, and a paid co-op work placement which gives you the opportunity to experience the industry first hand.

The Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology Diploma program and the Cabinetry and Woodworking Certificate program share a common Term 1. You will begin by learning about the safe operation of tools and equipment used to produce cabinets, furniture, and other wood products. You will then learn and work with construction details, materials, hardware, drafting, computers and finishing techniques. You will receive instruction about the functioning of today’s woodworking industry and how to work in it. Employment opportunities remain excellent in Manitoba.

After completing a common Term 1 semester, the learning in the Diploma program is taken to another level. Exploring and searching deeper into the world of wood manufacturing combines academics with hands-on shop work. Emphasis is put on areas like Industrial Engineering, Production Planning and Operation Management. A unique individual final project that demonstrates all your skills will be built.

Learning is fostered through a blend of workshop practice, classroom delivery, computer labs, advanced woodworking technologies, and manufacturing concepts and techniques. You will complete a major project that gives you the opportunity to step into the real world of woodworking.

Upon completion of the program, you will earn a Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology diploma and may begin your career as a Woodworking Technologist. This program may also be eligible for Manitoba Apprenticeship Cabinetmaking Level 1.The nature of your work may involve the following:

Co-operative education integrates classroom theory with related on-the-job-training by alternating terms of academic study and employment. This program includes a four-month paid work co-op that takes place during the summer months.
You are assisted in finding a suitable work experience. Co-op work placements provide hands-on reinforcement of academic learning and often lead to permanent job offers.

Develop your distinctive style and technical skills with RRC's Professional Photography program. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to develop the technical and creative aspects of digital imaging and processing. Students will develop skills in digital image manipulation, lighting, SLR operation, exposure, composition, printing, editing, retouching and processing as well as foundational business skills. Through classroom discussions, projects, guest lecturers and field experiences, you will become knowledgeable in all areas of digital imaging and processing.

The need for expertise in international business is growing in Canada. The International Business program prepares you to meet the challenges of adapting to the global marketplace.

Small classes are taught by a team of professionals who have real business experience. They offer innovative projects designed to apply international business theory through case study and discussion. You will be given opportunities to listen to guest speakers and to participate in relevant conferences, seminars, and other events.

Student teams will work with a local enterprise to prepare a marketing plan for entry into a new foreign market. Your plan will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

You will be required to complete a minimum six-week work experience component (assistance provided by RRC).
