The Automotive Technology program gives you the necessary skills required to diagnose and repair today’s automobile. Training alternates between in class, live shop and work experience. Classroom instruction will broaden your knowledge in automotive electronics as well as strategies required for diagnosis of engine management systems, fuel injection and abs brakes.

• Main subject areas include electrical diagnosis, electronics, ignition systems, engines, drive-lines, steering and suspension, brakes and fuel system.
• Second-year students will have the opportunity to be involved in chassis and engine dynamometer projects in areas of emissions analysis, cold weather testing of hybrid and electrical vehicles and engine performance.
• Upon graduation, students will receive a level two apprenticeship accreditation

• Develop the necessary skills for an entry-level administration position in a legal setting.
• You will learn how to prepare legal documentation for real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, domestic and family law, business, and appeals. You will also gain hands-on experience through the program’s practicum component.

Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology is a versatile program offering a variety of learning paths, career avenues, and a paid co-op work placement which gives you the opportunity to experience the industry first hand.

The Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology Diploma program and the Cabinetry and Woodworking Certificate program share a common Term 1. You will begin by learning about the safe operation of tools and equipment used to produce cabinets, furniture, and other wood products. You will then learn and work with construction details, materials, hardware, drafting, computers and finishing techniques. You will receive instruction about the functioning of today’s woodworking industry and how to work in it. Employment opportunities remain excellent in Manitoba.

After completing a common Term 1 semester, the learning in the Diploma program is taken to another level. Exploring and searching deeper into the world of wood manufacturing combines academics with hands-on shop work. Emphasis is put on areas like Industrial Engineering, Production Planning and Operation Management. A unique individual final project that demonstrates all your skills will be built.

Learning is fostered through a blend of workshop practice, classroom delivery, computer labs, advanced woodworking technologies, and manufacturing concepts and techniques. You will complete a major project that gives you the opportunity to step into the real world of woodworking.

Upon completion of the program, you will earn a Cabinetry and Woodworking Technology diploma and may begin your career as a Woodworking Technologist. This program may also be eligible for Manitoba Apprenticeship Cabinetmaking Level 1.The nature of your work may involve the following:

CO-OP/Practicum Information
Co-operative education integrates classroom theory with related on-the-job-training by alternating terms of academic study and employment. This program includes a four-month paid work co-op that takes place during the summer months.
You are assisted in finding a suitable work experience. Co-op work placements provide hands-on reinforcement of academic learning and often lead to permanent job offers.

This program prepares you to provide quality childcare in the community. You will study practice based on:

An emergent curriculum approach building on the interests of children, and working closely with families and communities is emphasized.
Additionally, the program is based on the study of child development within a developmental health perspective. You will learn about current, exciting research in a number of interesting areas.
Upon successful completion of the program you will be able to competently plan learning experiences that stimulate the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of young children.

This degree program focuses on the management skills needed in heavy, industrial and commercial, and residential construction. Consider it if you are looking to develop managerial expertise and are already working in areas related to  the skilled trades, engineering, or engineering technologies.

The program curriculum focuses on technology, science, leadership, and management. You will learn how to work effectively in all construction management settings. Program learning outcomes comply with codes, laws, and regulations while respecting sustainable environmental practices.

Previously called Outdoor Power Equipment Technician. This program provides you with strong foundational skills and professional knowledge required as an entry-level technician in the Marine and Powersports industry. After graduating from the Marine and Powersports Technician program you will be prepared to enter an apprenticeship or entry-level position within the industry.

Potential employment opportunities include dealerships, rental agencies, construction companies, marinas, outfitter camps, golf courses, government agencies, and standalone repair facilities.

As a graduate, you will be able to service and repair common types of Marine and Powersports equipment including:

Training includes professional shop practices, precision measuring, preventative maintenance, diagnostic procedures, and repair procedures. Topics of study include safety, tools, engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, seasonal storage, new vehicle prep, performance, and tuning.

The Marine and Powersports Technician Program would like to recognize the manufacturers who make equipment, technical information, and training available to the program. The support from Yamaha and Polaris enables RRC to offer up to date training on modern equipment.

Students also have an option to receive an endorsement from the Yamaha's Technical Academy and the University of Polaris. The endorsement course available through the program is the Bronze Level course.To successfully complete the Bronze course, the student must pass online tests. These endorsements will help students with employment opportunities.

Training will take place at RRC’s Vehicle Technology and Research Centre, an environment that will give you the practical experience required for industry employment. You will also have the opportunity to acquire industry work experience as part of this program.

This program is designed to increase your fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and help you to gain knowledge of Deaf culture and Deaf history so that you can effectively interact with Deaf individuals.

Deaf persons can benefit from this program by learning more about their own language, culture, and history.

Improvements to the program include:

• Manageable term course loads for students;
• Exclusive student attendance at Red River College;
• Inclusion of introductory ASL learning - no prerequisite courses required;
• "Bring Your Own Laptop" will allow students to access learning on demand.

The need for expertise in international business is growing in Canada. The International Business program prepares you to meet the challenges of adapting to the global marketplace.

Small classes are taught by a team of professionals who have real business experience. They offer innovative projects designed to apply international business theory through case study and discussion. You will be given opportunities to listen to guest speakers and to participate in relevant conferences, seminars, and other events.

Student teams will work with a local enterprise to prepare a marketing plan for entry into a new foreign market. Your plan will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

You will be required to complete a minimum six-week work experience component (assistance provided by RRC).  

This program develops the knowledge and skills required for the safe and efficient operation of process equipment in residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial establishments. The program's main focus is on power plant operation.
Through theory and practical training, you will learn about the operation and maintenance of boilers, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems and other  process components.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements you may challenge the Province of Manitoba licensing exams at the Fourth and Third Class levels.
The program has an optional exit point at the end of the first year. If you successfully complete the first year, you receive a certificate and may write the standardized Fourth Class provincial examinations.

Business, Accounting and Management is a comprehensive program that helps you develop skills in the core areas of business. Your online education is supplemented by work-integrated learning, where you will gain valuable experience in a business environment that is immediately applicable in the workforce. Upon completion of the program, you will be ready for employment in a business or accounting environment.
