Develop your distinctive style and technical skills with RRC's Professional Photography program. This program provides the knowledge and skills required to develop the technical and creative aspects of digital imaging and processing. Students will develop skills in digital image manipulation, lighting, SLR operation, exposure, composition, printing, editing, retouching and processing as well as foundational business skills. Through classroom discussions, projects, guest lecturers and field experiences, you will become knowledgeable in all areas of digital imaging and processing.

You will acquire hands-on skills in the following:

This program develops the skills you require to assist dentists using four-handed dentistry techniques.
As a dental assisting student, you will learn about dental procedures, including the instruments, materials, and equipment used for each.  You will also learn how to prevent the transmission of disease/infection through infection control techniques, e.g. sterilization.  You will also learn basic laboratory skills, e.g. pouring models.  The program will also prepare you to work as an intra-oral assistant by developing skills to perform the following procedures:

• Polishing of teeth
• Application of fluoride
• Exposing radiographs
• Placement and removal of dental dam
• Placement of sealants
• Taking impressions
• Placement of matrices and wedges
• Application of liners, bases, topical anesthetic, and desensitizing agents
• Removal of sutures
• Fabrication and delivery of whitening trays and mouth guards

To broaden your skills and knowledge of business related procedures, you will study basic accounting, records maintenance, business correspondence, billings, and appointment control.
During the practicum, you will have the opportunity to work with dental students at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Dentistry and in a private general dental office, performing the skills you learned in the classroom, lab, and clinic.
The Notre Dame Campus program includes a practicum during which you will work with dental students at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Dentistry and in a general dental office.

Business Administration provides the student with a broad business foundation during the first year of studies. During the second year of the program, the student will declare a major that focuses their studies in a particular area, either Accounting, Administration, Financial Services, Marketing or Human Resource Management.

Some courses focus on theoretical foundations, others will emphasize application of knowledge. Group projects are integral to many courses offered in this program.

Previously called Outdoor Power Equipment Technician. This program provides you with strong foundational skills and professional knowledge required as an entry-level technician in the Marine and Powersports industry. After graduating from the Marine and Powersports Technician program you will be prepared to enter an apprenticeship or entry-level position within the industry.

Potential employment opportunities include dealerships, rental agencies, construction companies, marinas, outfitter camps, golf courses, government agencies, and standalone repair facilities.

As a graduate, you will be able to service and repair common types of Marine and Powersports equipment including:

Training includes professional shop practices, precision measuring, preventative maintenance, diagnostic procedures, and repair procedures. Topics of study include safety, tools, engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, seasonal storage, new vehicle prep, performance, and tuning.

The Marine and Powersports Technician Program would like to recognize the manufacturers who make equipment, technical information, and training available to the program. The support from Yamaha and Polaris enables RRC to offer up to date training on modern equipment.

Students also have an option to receive an endorsement from the Yamaha's Technical Academy and the University of Polaris. The endorsement course available through the program is the Bronze Level course.To successfully complete the Bronze course, the student must pass online tests. These endorsements will help students with employment opportunities.

Training will take place at RRC’s Vehicle Technology and Research Centre, an environment that will give you the practical experience required for industry employment. You will also have the opportunity to acquire industry work experience as part of this program.

Business, Accounting and Management is a comprehensive program that helps you develop skills in the core areas of business. It also provides you with up-to-date training in computers, accounting, business writing and human resource management. Your online education is supplemented by work-integrated learning, where you will gain valuable experience in a business environment that is immediately applicable in the workforce. Upon completion of the program, you will be ready for employment in a business or accounting environment.

This program gives you an understanding of the basic purpose, construction, operation, and service of component parts and assemblies of an automobile.
You will develop the knowledge and skills required to disassemble, inspect, machine, calibrate and reassemble motor vehicle units and components. You will study internal combustion engines, automatic and standard transmissions, brakes, steering, electrical circuits, wiring, and fuel systems.
Most training will take place at RRC’s auto mechanics workshop, an environment that will give you the practical experience required for industry employment. You will also acquire industry work experience as part of this program.
Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program overview information session. You will also be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.

This program develops the knowledge and skills required for the safe and efficient operation of process equipment in residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial establishments. The program's main focus is on power plant operation.
Through theory and practical training, you will learn about the operation and maintenance of boilers, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems and other  process components.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements you may challenge the Province of Manitoba licensing exams at the Fourth and Third Class levels.
The program has an optional exit point at the end of the first year. If you successfully complete the first year, you receive a certificate and may write the standardized Fourth Class provincial examinations.
Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to attend a program overview information session. You will also be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.

This program develops the skills and knowledge you need to safely and effectively perform the oxyacetylene, arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG), and metal inert gas (MIG) welding processes and related operations.
You will spend the majority of class time on practical shop work, with your remaining time spent on instruction in welding, mathematics, science, industrial communications, and blueprint reading.

Theory tests in each welding component and grading of practical work assignments to government and industry standards.
Upon graduation you will receive a certificate from Red River College.
Students will be tested for Canadian Welding Bureau certification in SMAW and GMAW for an additional fee, and on passing will receive a student ticket from Canadian Welding Bureau.

Prior to starting the program, you will be invited to participate in a math and reading skills diagnostic testing session that will advise you of your program readiness.
This is a not an apprenticeship program, but may provide credit transfer opportunities towards apprenticeship. The Applied Accounting program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills to provide entry level accounting support. In addition to developing basic accounting and computer skills, the program includes courses in general business practices.
